Arrived to a hot & humid Cooktown. Camp sites were quite full so we splurged on a night in a Motel. Service was great, the pool was welcoming and cool and the owner was very accommodating and helpful with information and assistance. Dining room was closed but the owner recommended going down to the Bowling Club or the Soveriegn Resort...

Only stayed the one night, staff were really nice, room since and clean, air conditioning provided, good restaurant and breakfast was more than enough. Cant thank the staff enough, I left my glasses there, and they posted them back, I offered to pay, but they wouldn't hear of it, thanks again. When I come back, I will definitely stay at the...

Stayed here by myself for 3 nights on business. Found the staff to be very friendly, and the room were very clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar were very welcoming spots at the end of the day. Ensure you try the hot rock meals.

Stayed recently on business. Plenty of space in the room, exceptionally clean and fresh. Mick and Lee were wonderful hosts and more than happy to go out of their way to assist, even posting back my phone charger which I left behind! Would certainly stay again!

We were booked in but asked to see the room before we paid. Very pleased we did as the room was musty and tired and not worth $115. Noisy workers sitting out on the balcony drinking so the place was not at all appealing.

I don't think a person who hasn't even stayed in a motel has any right to write a review on it for starters! You walked into a room for two seconds and make a judgement as if you had stayed for a week! If you find the sight of a couple of workers having a quiet beer after a long...

I stayed here with my elderly mum and dad on July 9th, visiting from the UK. Originally chose the motel because it was the only one in Cooktown with a disabled bedroom for my parents but so glad we stayed. Mick and Lee provided a charming Aussie welcome. Rooms are clean and tidy with iced water in the fridge and...

The hosts made us most welcome on arrival and during dinner. The restaurant has a good menu and a comprehensive selection of wines. Close to the centre of Cooktown, and very reasoanbly priced would stay again when in the area.

What a great place it was to stay. I was recently there for work and Mick and Lee were the perfect hosts. They couldn't be more accommodating - picked me up from the airport, dropped me off for work, set up for the workshop and provided delicious and abundant food. They were also more than happy to drop me back...
