Friendly, easy to find, hood place to stop and do the waterfall circuit Nice pool. Clean environment, we liked it accommodates for all, something for everyone. What I don't like is having to write 200 words just to be able to submit this review TripAdvisor get on to it !

This is by far one of the best hostels I have stayed in, and in the most beautiful location. The beach front is just a two minute walk away, and the town is surrounded by creeks and swimming holes. I stayed for just under 4 months to do my regional work. Rod and Leonie, who are the owners, sorted out...

After recently losing Mum to cancer, my daughters and I needed a much deserved holiday so I booked us to stay for 3 nights in an Executive Villa. The villa was spotless, all of the park's staff and especially the owners were extremely helpful in giving us tips on the local attractions and sites. We managed to spot a sea...

When I arrived at the Kookaburra Holiday Park back in early March, I didn't really know what too expect, all I had to go on was a glowing review from a friend I met down in Melbourne. Straight away, I realised I had picked the right place to stay for the next 3 months while I did my regional farm...

Old fashioned style caravan park which attracts lots of fishing and boating enthusiasts. Tent camping was a bit limited but compensated for by very friendly owner, Leonie, who seemed to be always on the go and looking out for the park's residents and guests. Great kiosk in the office; one of the best stocked I'd seen on route from townsville...

Spent 2 nights here while fishing in Cardwell. Clean rooms, friendly people and very reasonable rates. The WiFi was the best of any hotel on our trip. We checked in early and the people had not yet checked out so they let us put our food in the office fridge. Would definitely return.

Stopped for one night in an onsite unit. We were upgraded and It was old and only average but very clean. The bed was fine and the facilities were all that we needed. The owners were friendly and for the price it was OK. It was located in a top spot and close to the beach.

A real up and coming hostel, owners Rod & Leoni are constantly looking for ways to improve park facilities, engage residents in activities & projects, and will go well above their duties to find everyone work (banana farming, prawn farming, passion fruits & even work around the park). There is a wealth of facilities (laundry, kitchens, showers, barbeques, van hire),...

Stayed one night and that was one night too many. Would not recommend it. Noisy revellers until 2.30am. Turned on the air conditioner to try to muffle the outside noise, but that sounded like a freight train in the room, so had to turn it off. The double bed was so small one of us ended up on the lounge....

I was really happy to get a budget motel room for the night in beautiful Cardwell, that was until the Friday night backpacker party began and kept going past midnight. I am used to caravan parks having rules about quietening down by 10pm, but thought that midnight on a Friday would be fair enough. But no, the extremely loud party...
