We had a very pleasant 4 weeks here in Feb 2025 and found the rooms a good size and adequately equipped and WiFi. Many units have sea views (only 200yds away) with plenty of grass in between.
The manageress was always smiling and helpful as were the cleaning staff who were good fun and did an excellent job. The friendly town of Bowen is 400yds away with a supermarket & pubs close by. Thank you Port Denison Motor Inn for an enjoyable time.

We had a great stay at this motel. Room had everything to self cater and plenty of room. Bed was comfortable. Only draw back was the shower water ran all over the bathroom. Lesson is don’t put the bath mat down until you turn off the shower. The view looking out over the pacific was beautiful. The walk along the foreshore was so pretty. No restaurant at motel but heaps of very good pubs and restaurants just half a block away. Reception was very helpful and sorted us out with a different room when the first one triggered hubby sneezing. It was great start to our week away.

This popular motel represents good value and excellent location. Rooms are well equipped although air conditioner only in the bedroom made for a cold bedroom and warm lounge area. Just a little thing but great baggage trolleys made checking in and out easy.

Stayed two nights at this property. The staff were friendly and rooms clean and the property is in a quite location, but handy to the main business district. There are kitchen facilities in each room. I was charged $139 a night which I thought was good value for money in a mining area where motel prices are often inflated.
However, it is important to note that this property has been converted from a nursing home to a motel. As a result car parking is remote from the rooms which could be an issue for people with mobility limitations and/or a lot of luggage. In the rooms there is no purpose-built place, such as a folding stand, to store a suitcase. There was no rubbish bin in the bathroom - very unusual for a motel int this price range. Both these deficiencies could be rectified without significant expenditure. The bathroom lighting was very poor and the wash basin rather small. No work desk is provided for business people wanting to do work in their rooms. Surprisingly, the option of breakfast (even a continental one) is not provided for guests to purchase - very unusual for a motel in this price range.
The bottom line is that this property is fine for agile (mainly male) workers associated with the mining industry but for those wanting a traditional motel where one can park the car at the door, do some work in their room and enjoy a continental breakfast in their room before departure this is not the property for you. This motel appears to enjoy a high occupancy rate because of the mining industry but if it was located in a more competitive environment it would be attending to at least small issues like no rubbish bin in the bathroom, no suitcase stand and the provision of least a continental breakfast.
Fortunately there are other accommodation options in Bowen.

Settled on this motel as nearly all other Bowen places booked out. Friendly check in, our room was clean enough but it was pretty basic. Separate lounge and kitchenette okay for a short stay, bedroom smallish with a queen bed that wobbled, and the bathroom - well the bathroom needs help. Basically a wet room, the basin cabinet is disintegrating, shower floods everywhere and toilet is old. It all functioned though. For the price, we expected something a little better standard but it seems mine or road workers are filling Bowen accommodation regardless.

I wasn’t expecting a lot. I don’t know why, but definitely I was pleasantly surprise as it is a lovely motel very clean and presented well. The Staff were pleasant & accommodating, pointing out all the different beaches to visit and sites to see as well as recommending to have a meal at the nearby grand view hotel where we also had the opportunity to play Musical Bingo👍

A warm friendly welcome and perfect location to wander over to the opera at the foreshore. Our room was changed to one closer to the back exit, when I asked if we could go "out the beachside" for a short cut to the concert, rather than walking around the block. Much appreciated. Room had everything we needed for the night away.

Good value for money. Check-In was quick, efficient and reception was very helpful with directions of places to go to. Comfortable bed in a self contained Standard Room with a nice ocean view. Had a comfortable couch, table & chairs to eat in if you like, great for a couple. They have units with a bar fridge, but we requested one with a large fridge, which we got and that was great as we needed more room in the freezer. The hospitality was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay so much so we stayed there again on the way back down the coast in November 2022. The ground maintenance and gardens around the place was in excellent condition as well. Recommend Flagstaff Hill as an excellent place of interest with 360 degree water views of Bowen and surrounding areas.

Friendly and helpful. Rooms super clean and quiet with all the required amenities. Lovely sitting area with BBQ set in lush tropical gardens. The best place to stay if taking part in activities at the Port Dennison Sailing Club

My stay at the Port Denison Motor Inn at Bowen was great. The room was excellent and the staff were super friendly and most helpful. The position of the motel is great as it's within walking distance of the nearby hotels and restaurants. I'm looking forward to my next stay!!
