Went for Sunday lunch and absolutely loved it. The 10 dollar menu is a winner and the best value in north Queensland. My steak was succulent and would easily match 30 dollar meals elsewhere. Service was excellent and super speedy. On the highway so super easy stop for visitors or just a short trip for locals.

We had our Nan’s birthday there over the weekend. Firstly we made a booking over a week plus before for 25 people On arrival there was not a table set up at all which I ended up dragging tables together to set up as the staff clearly didn’t have a clue what was happening It was a suprise party and nearly ruined the suprise because we pretty much had to set up our own table Our meals came out fast and where great as per usually paddy is great Just after 8 they decided to close the bar without any warning what so ever as people where wanting to get a drink yet couldn’t Generally you do a last call for drinks The manager clearly didn’t care less as he was packing up around us We ended up going else where for drinks they couldn’t even serve us coffee as we where told the beans where old I’m sorry I don’t usually right reviews but this was shocking we had our wedding here 4 years ago it was fantastic But I wouldn’t go here at all now extremely unorganised Thank you for nothing pretty much If your the owner reading this get people who no what there doing because turning up for a booked table of 25 and nothing set at all is just disgusting

Lovely venue, with beautiful grassy beer garden. Friendly staff and prompt service. Good pub fare. Public bar has pool table. Good clean pub with a real country feel, yet so close to the beaches of Bowen.

Tried the mixed grill on for size and was flat out eating it all. Great tucker at a reasonable price and a cosy restaurant area out the back of the pub to enjoy a few ales, a great feed or even a few rounds on the billiards table.

We were looking for a hotel on the highway as we were travelling to Mackay and found this little gem! Great food, cold beer and excellent staff. The rooms were a little small, but what the heck, they were very neat clean and tidy.
