The food is amazing and the service is as good. We had the Sunday roast and this is highly recommend. We had our dog with us and this was no problem based on loads of other dogs within the pub. Thumbs up from us👍

Have visited the area and The Ship frequently as a result of golf excursions. After a great 36 holes at Sheringham GC really looking forward to the evening meal. Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience because of a general lack of interest from the staff serving food and drink and the overall quality of the food. Avoid the burger! Hopefully...

I hope it was a blip too Stu. It really disappoints me if I hear that my staff haven't been as courteous and welcoming as I expect them to be or that my food hasn't met with my diners' expectations. I strive very hard to give my guests the very best hospitality and food available and my staff know how...

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. Incredible, luxurious room with exquisite ensuite with a roll top bath. Every detail had been thought of, the little extras really made our stay. Very attentive staff, dogs welcome in the rooms with a small fee for additional cleaning. All appliances, soft furnishings etc top quality, great for a special trip...

Thanks for posting. Glad you enjoyed the hotel. I'm not quite sure whether you rated the food average after tasting it or whether you just didn't fancy the menu. If it was the latter I have to say I think you missed a trick, but each to their own!

We stayed here for a weekend away. While it was a nice stay I do think something was missing. I tend to think it was the lack of personal service. When we first walked in we felt a little like we were interrupting...like we hadn't booked ahead and weren't expected to arrive. I generally think this is an issue with...

I'm sorry you were left feeling a little underwhelmed by your visit to The Ship. I work very hard to try and ensure that my hotel guests enjoy the very best in food and service and when that isn't the case it saddens and annoys me in equal measure. Rest assured, for what it's worth, that I will be raising...

A great place for a Sunday roast at any time! We ate at 4.30 after a days birdwatching and the food was delicious, the wine perfect and the gin and elderflower "starter" a must. The roaring fire in front of the rugby just made our day.

Thanks for posting your review Wendy. I love that the Ship can be such a relaxing place to recuperate after a bracing walk. Hope the rugby result was what you wished for too :)

Amazing and relaxing lunch today. Children and dogs very welcome. Fantastic fire! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great wine list. Deserts necessary! Ideal location after a great beach walk. We will be back soon.

My aunt chose the Ship for a small family Sunday lunch to celebrate her 90th. An excellent choice! We sat in the nicely decorated restaurant (although there are a few tables in the bar) and three of the five of us chose Roast beef and oh did we do right! Beautiful, thinly sliced, flavoursome beef that positively melted in the...

Booked this place as a anniversary getaway. Place is terrific all floorboards and full of charm. However, on arrival, the barman was very much a matter of fact and unhelpful, this coupled with the expensive cost of meals in the restaurant only affords 3 stars. Compared to other pubs along the coast road the food in the Ship is quite...
