We strongly recommend this friendly, high quality B & B. My wife and I stayed 3 nights between Xmas 2016 and new year. Chris and Denise are delightful hosts and the setting is superb, with lovely fresh air, long local walks and friendly pubs and restaurants, all right on the doorstep. We took advantage of the exquisite and very relaxing...

Denise and Chris were charming hosts who couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The house was cosy and bright and our room followed this theme with a cross section of books and guides to read. Tea making facilities in the room was supplemented with freshly baked slice of cake each day and the bed was so comfortable...

We stayed here in this lovely town for one night on 22nd Jan 17. Denise and Chris are lovely people and couldn't do enough for you. There is a real 'home from home' feel about the place. Chris was very informative of things to do and see in the area and breakfast was really nice! The bed was the most...

We really enjoyed our stay at Number 37 when we stayed for a night away in November. The B & B was easy to find and Chris, our host, was easy to communicate with leading up to our stay. The B & B was cosy and comfortable and had everything that we needed for the night. The tea & coffee...

Chris and Denise were very welcoming (as were their cats Harry and Charlie!) into their lovely home. We enjoyed a hearty home cooked meal and they were very informative about the local area. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a lovely night and morning at Number 37. The room was comfortable and the cake on arrival was delicious. Chris and Denise were really friendly and helpful, giving us restaurant recommendations and lending us a map. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and kept us going all day. Thank you!

Really lovely room. Chris and Denise were very friendly, with great tips about the local area and maps we were able to borrow. They were very understanding about our dog and nothing was too much trouble. A lovely stay.

We decided to stay (to break our journey from North to South England) at 5 pm. Chris took our booking over the phone and was most welcoming. We got the one remaining room which was downstairs: this meant that, although we had private use of toilet and sink next to our room, we had to go upstairs to share one...

Thank you for that review - most comprehensive! Re not being ensuite - Our house is in a conservation area and is grade II listed - the planners are not keen on us altering the house in any way as it dates from around 1780. We have therefore decided not to squeeze ensuites into the rooms.

Lovely warm welcome when we arrived, with lovely rooms and fantastic breakfast. Lots of top tips about the area and excellent recommendations for places to eat, walk and drink. Would highly recommend a stay at number 37.
