We are a family of four, two adults and two teenagers (19 and 14 daughter and son), we booked this country inn to visit Alton Towers as part of the Easter break. We were pleasantly surprised with what we found. A lovely place, great accommodation that suited us perfectly, it was like having a room each in one place, the...

Room located in servants house, only one good thing was view by the window. Room wasn't clean, running water from toilet. Their "b&b" including only continental breakfast- which is not that bad, but in price 70 pound per night it's poor to don't get full english. If you like to eat one- it's costs of 5 pound pp. Rooms also...

Had a lovely early evening meal here, we were made very welcome and the food was excellent if a little large for me. Could not fault it. Well worth a visit if in the area. Adequate parking and dogs can be taken into one of the rooms.

We booked a family room for two nights as we were visiting Alton Towers. The proximity to the park is brilliant. We had a booked a family room and was not disappointed. To have three kids and each of them could watch a television was excellent. The grounds are looked after well and has a little park for the kids...

Stayed with our dog on a last minute break. Chalet rooms were clean but to be honest if had known it was going to be a chalet away from the hotel I wouldn't of stayed. Kept awake all night by noises in the roof. Plus side staff were lovely and the breakfast. Disappointed by evening meal

I am sorry you were dissapointed in you stay, all our rooms are in the grounds. We are in the countryside and have no idea what the noises were on the roof and we have had no other complaints We are pleased you found the rooms clean and enjoyed your breakfast, and found our staff friendly.

Just returned from a short mid-week break here. Accommodation is chalet-type rooms around the pub and gardens. Much nicer inside than they look, spacious and clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and nicely cooked and presented. The evening menu is extensive and was very enjoyable, good portions and value for money. We had to eat in...

Overall was disappointed, the rooms are clean but very dated and need a refurb. The pub areas again are dated and for the food prices the food should be better and it is much more expensive than surrounding pubs. The staff are friendly, but I would not recommend the place to others.

the inn is 17 th century inn, we are limited to the alterations we can do, the bar was refurbished 1 year ago, the resturant 2 years ago in keeping with 17 century inn. I am dissapointed you felt our meals were overpriced, but why did you eat with us twice With us durin your stay.

When I booked this hotel, I assumed that I would be in the main building so was very disappointed to be put into a wooden chalet in the grounds. I thought the price paid was excessive for the room we were in. On the plus side, breakfast was excellent. Won't be staying again.

Breakfast is very busy in school holidays, there are plenty of tables in the resturant where there is no sunshine, my staff do have to run around to serve every one quickly.

We stayed for two nights with our two dogs. We were made to feel welcome on our arrival by the the friendly staff. The chalet accommodation was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. We ate in the bar area as this is the area where the dogs could be with you for meals. The breakfast was lovely and the...
