Had a really enjoyable stay. We stayed in the self catering apartment. This apartment was really well equipped with lovely rooms. I would definitely stay again. We were given a bottle of wine on arrival which was a lovely gesture. staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed at woodlands early March 2017 - arrived cold tired and a bit fed up; greeted by a warm welcome and a cup of tea with absolutely outstanding Bakewell tart (owners recipe). Then it just kept getting better; comfy bed, lashings of hot water for a much needed bath and a serene view over the pretty garden before going out...

Lovely warm welcome and clean, bright, comfortable accommodation. There is everything you need for a short break or a week's walking in the High Peak. A great location for walking and seeing this area. The tea room is also well renowned with good reason.

Prices in Manchester were prohibitive, found this beautiful apartment within easy reach of the venue. Perfect for a relaxing couple of nights following busy days. Only reason not a 5 star rating was the slow filling bath, everything else facility and hospitality wise was perfect and will definitely return.

Loved our stay at Woodlands. It is in an amazing setting with views to die for. Judy and Brian were just lovely. The breakfast was the best we have had, restaurant quality. The room was so pretty and spacious. Quiet atmosphere. You wake up to the sound of donkeys and chickens! It is nice to be made to feel so...

Lovely weekend at this gorgeous guest house in Charlesworth. Great hospitality from Judy and Brian...fab award winning tea room and a locally sourced breakfast...Comfy bed too! The only thing was our bathroom was just across the landing. We did know this before arriving and robes are provided which was thoughtful, however I would have preferred en suite next time. The...

The hosts were very friendly and welcome you with tea and homemade scones. The room was light and airy with an exceptional view of the peak district countryside. You are only a short train ride away from Manchester for shopping and dining out and then return to the peaceful location in the countryside. We will definitely visit the Woodlands again.

The room was large with dual aspect windows looking out over fields towards the hills. It had an enormous private bathroom with bath and separate shower. The room had the usual amenities you would expect to find but the Woodlands also had an award winning tearoom attached. The property was well placed for walking in the Peak District National Park...

Lovely place to get away from it all, superb food and friendly hosts. Will definitely be returning😃as soon as we get the chance. We stayed in the barn which is self catering but we had lunch in the restaurant which is the perfect mix for us. Would highly recommend Woodlands for a break away or just for a mouth watering...
