We stayed last night at this beautiful hotel. The welcome from the owners was lovely. After been shown to our rooms a tray of tea was served in the drawing room. We took advantage of the set price, three course dinner which was both excellent quality and value for money. After a lovely nights sleep we enjoyed a breakfast of...

After 13 hours fighting traffic, sorting out a broken windscreen, handling difficult meetings, I was looking for a quiet, comfortable and welcoming evening. I could not have landed at a better place. Immediate and warm welcome in a lovely, quiet location. Dinner was superb. The owner/chef knows what he can do and does it brilliantly. Good ingredients cooked to perfection....

We went to this little family run hotel for a long weekend planning lot of walks. It was always nice to come back and have a good night sleep. Room was well heated, clean, always tidy. There are toiletries in the bathroom, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. Rooms are well sized and quiet. Breakfast could be bigger but...

We stayed here last minute and had a wonderful night. The owners were pleasant, the room was lovely, spacious and clean and the breakfast fresh and plenty. Topping it all off, we had beautiful views of the surrounding country side. Glossip has a variety of restaurants and pubs to offer and that made our visit complete.

We had a romantic night away & thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The owners are helpful but quite formal. The food was of good quality & breakfast was very tasty; one of the best. We would recommend this hotel it is very clean, quaint and thoughtful touches throughout. It does lack a certain atmosphere.... It feels like you need to...

Nothing to add. The staff is professional. Very clean room and silent. I had a very comfortable night. The place is fantastic. The breakfast is fresh and homemade. Lovely. Wide and free carpark. Also the wifi was for free.

Our Hosts were houghtful and kind. We stayed 3 days. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Portions could have been larger, but that's me - I love my food and have a waistline and wonky knees to prove it! We'd stay again.

When I have to stay overnight I much prefer a small/medium size hotel where you experience personal service, good food and excellent accommodation and as far as I am concern Wind In The Willows ticks all these boxes. In addition due to the location I will be staying with my wife to enjoy a weekend break in the near future....

Stayed in Glossop for work recently and frankly didn't fancy the Travelodge. I knew this would be a risk but it was a nice one worth taking. The location is lovely – right at the end of Snake Pass and up a lane. The house is large but perhaps not quite as welcoming as it seems – I think this...
