We stayed for one night before travelling home after a day of collecting things. The hotel is ideally located literally on the edge of the Peak District. Although it is about half a mile from town, you would think you were in the middle of the countryside. The owners are extremely friendly but not intrusive. The room was spacious and...

Having never stayed in Glossop we decided to come and Stay here and what a lovely welcome we had from Alison. The room was impressive and very romantic setting, the sitting room was lovely and comfortable chairs and Georgian decor very nice indeed. The food was beautiful and we booked a evening meal for our first night and wow it...

My wife and I stayed here for our 34th wedding anniversary, we were greeted by the owner on arrival as if we were regular visitors and received a warm welcome. The house itself is an old mill owners villa and has retained many of the period features, After being shown to our room which was nicely decorated with a spacious...

My wife and I stayed here in May. It is a family run hotel in a quiet location not far from the town centre. We were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is extremely well appointed with attractive rooms and lovely furnishings. We had chosen an upgraded room which had a pleasant view over the surrounding countryside. Everything was spotlessly clean...

I stayed here for two nights this week and have to say it was most enjoyable. The rooms were very clean and tidy but a little dated as was the rest of the hotel. That said the setting was perfect as was the garden. Breakfast was excellent both days. The owners were very helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay...

Just a quick note to say thanks to the Wind In The Willows Hotel for a fabulous stay last weekend. The room and facilities were spotless and the service very attentive. The quality of food (breakfast) was as good as anywhere I have stayed and when in the area again, will definitely stay there

Ian and Alison run this little country hotel well, nothing is to much trouble in their quest to make sure you are comfortable and feel welcome. I am staying here in preference to a much bigger hotel in Hyde and am looking forward to the evening walks after work before the excellent dinner.

Great hotel, run by lovely people. Clean and tidy and kept to traditional decor to match the building. Lovely and can't recommend enough. We will return for sure. Breakfast is tasty and as described on the menu. Only a short 1.1 mile walk in to glossop town centre where there is plenty to do. The silence within the grounds and...
