We only ate here, so I can only comment on the food. The food served here is quite poor. I can't find anything good to report, sadly. The chips were awful and after trying one I left the rest of them. The burger my son had was literally a beef burger in a bread bun, that wasn't even toasted. He... More

So after me raving about this place the first time from the huge portion tasting lovely, I took my parents and boyfriend. We decided to skip the starter this time as unable to finish the main last time we missed out on desert. What a mistake! There was a little wait on the food which they informed us of but... More

We had our wedding venue do here in a marquee. I have got to say that is so good and we recommend it very highly indeed. The owners are so lovely and engaging and very accommodating and the place itself is truly wonderful. If you're looking for a wedding venue, this is it. They will cater or provide external companies.... More

We were going to a party at the hotel and stayed the night. The room was clean and comfortable and the service very friendly and professional. Only slight negative was lack of somewhere to hang towels and clothes in the bathroom, but this is a common theme in B&Bs. Buffet at the party was really good. Excellent, generous breakfast.

My Wife and I had Sunday lunch today after having previously visited for a wedding. What a lovely place. The meal was superb and the mushroom starter was the best I've had in a long time. Lovely attentive staff made this a really nice day out. We will be eating there again.

It was a flying visit to this charming BnB that overlooks the Peak District. Its surroundings were the winning feature, with sheep and horses grazing in the fields. It's a very calming view. Lee was our host and recently took charge of the premises. He was very helpful as we needed to check in early in order to get ready... More

Having completed 15 miles on the Pennine Way it was great to be picked up and ferried to the hotel. A warm welcome and good clean rooms. Just what we needed. The food was also ideal. Not cordon bleu but perfect for two hungry walkers. Although they do a lot of weddings (Saturday probably difficult to get a room), if... More

I attended this place for a funeral it was a glorious sunny day and we were able to spend the afternoon in the beautiful gardens which overlook the High Peak countryside (whats not to like) the food was excellent, however I did find the buffet setup a bit weird, you sort of go into the hotel reception area. The staff... More

Last week I had my 60th birthday party at Windy Harbour and about 60 people attended. Lee and his team looked after us very well. Food was very good and plenty of it! The drinks flowed freely and the staff were both pleasant and very helpful. We had a comedian and a musician and their needs were also catered for.... More
