Right in the middle of Castleton, a perfect base, Janet and Nick are warm and friendly people, serving a fantastic breakfast and offering advice on the best routes to take where ever we wanted to go, could have spent longer in Castleton and if we ever revisit the area we wouldn't hesitate to stay in this delightful B&B.

We stayed for two nights in the garden room with patio. We aren't too used to staying in UK B&B's, so this review should be read in that context - i.e. very little experience for comparison. This is a historic building in the village, and oozes character with beams etc. One con on this was that if there are heavy...

Thanks to Janet and co for an amazing stay. The four-poster bedroom was a delight, with it's own private en-suit toilet and shower. The bed was sooo comfortable, I slept like a log. There were fresh flowers in the room as well as tea, coffee and biscuits. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner and large fluffy towels. The price...

Stayed here on Tuesday for my husband's birthday. We had the garden room which was great for our dog Charlie.Spotlessly clean and comfortable with fluffy towels and chocs, biscuits tea and coffee etc. Janet was very welcoming and friendly and she and Joanne served a beautiful cooked breakfat. Spent three happy nights at Causeway House, Castleton. Lovely friendly owners - couldn't do enough for you. Breakfasts were great and my single room small but comfy with lots of tea, coffee, biscuits and even a chocolate on a towel each morning. Also TV and free wifi. Shared bathroom with my room but bathrobe supplied and for £35 per night...

We went there straight from the street, didn't have any reservation earlier and it was a great choice.Superb people, felt like a part of family, nice and clean room, very comfy beds, we were thinking to take one with us, but we don't have big enough car:-), great location for walks and quite few pubs around, just lovely breakfast, couldn't complain...

We had an excellent stay in the comfortable spacious garden room with its own entrance and terrace which was ideal with Bella our golden retriever. Janet and Nick were great hosts. Very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were great and there were five dog friendly pubs within a five minute walk.

My friends and I had an excellent stay at this comfortable bed and breakfast. Janet was a great host and the breakfast was excellent. I had a single room overlooking a semi-busy street. The windows were thick, so I had no trouble with outside noise. My friends had the large downstairs bedroom that came with a private patio. Overall, great...

Smashing welcome from Nick and Janet. We had the garden room which was very spacious. Breakfast was sociable and a toaster per table was a novelty! Well placed in the middle of Castleton for the walks we went to the area for. Would return again.

Our third visit to see Janet and Nick at Causeway House, and what a super time my family and I had. My little girl is 20 months old and we had a small bed set up in the spacious garden room situated on the ground floor that opens up onto a front facing patio garden giving lovely views of the...
