We have spent many weekends over the years in Castleton and we have tried but failed to get a booking here (which speaks volumes!). So this year we booked early and got 21/22 Nov for £85 per night...fab!! We love it....the room is spacious and the bed is amazingly comfortable (currently laying on it now as I review). We have...

We liked The Bullshead so much we had our wedding reception there... They could not have been more helpful and did an excellent and very professional job of serving good food to approx. 90 guests without some of the long gaps that often blight weddings. The food we chose was classic English pub grub that went down well with the...

After a quick Tour of one of the Many local mines it was time for a light lunch. Nice food decent surroundings but terrible depressing Music ! Portions were ample and sándwiches were good value my son enjoyed his rump steak the most expensive dish on the menú ! All in all an above average place .

Came in today for Sunday lunch, the beer and food was both excellent, the belly pork with black pudding mash was sublime. Second time we have been and will be returning. The place was spotless, toilets were impeccable and staff very friendly and pleasant. Quality speaks for itself, it was a cold miserable day and the place was full of...

We had food at the Bull's Head Inn on two consecutive nights. There was a wide selection of items on the menu and specials board. The mains courses came in delicious, hearty portions, less so for the sweets. Although busy, the staff were helpful in allowing our party to order and pay separately, but with the food served together. Recommended.

Visited for Sunday Lunch following a walk in the area. Went in for a drink & ended up staying for lunch after seeing the quality of the food being brought out of the kitchen. We both had Sunday roast, one beef, one lamb both very tasty & hot. The food was delivered within a reasonable wait time and staff were...

We found this pub a very comfortable location from which to spend a few days walking and sleeping. The pub is very clean and our room looked like it had recently been refurbished as there was no sign of wear and tear. The beds were comfortable and there where plenty of teas and coffees available in the room. The pub...

Visited with friends on a day out in Castleton. Friendly atmosphere, good staff and a very nice Monkfish Thai curry. A little pricey, but a pleasant meal with a good selection of cask ales to wash it down with.
