Sunday night probably not the best time to eat as we were practically on our own. That said the meal was great and the location lovely. Lack of atmosphere was a shame but would definitely go back to see it at its best.

It was our wedding day here from start to finish ran smoothly I was a bit nervous it wouldn't but the staff were amazing from start to finish. The whole set up and timing was spot on the food for the wedding breakfast and the pizzas in the evening for our evening guests were apparently we didn't get a look...

I stayed here on a Sunday night, as I had a meeting in the local area the next day. The drive into the hotel was nice and there is beautiful scenery. The car park is to the side but there are no signs to point to the entrance. I got checked in and went to my room. It was nice...

Stayed here Valentine's night .. the room was very nice though a little tired in places. The highlight however was the lovely set meal that came as part of the package booked thro Secret Escapes, the scallops and belly pork to start with was one of the best courses I've had for ages followed by a very good main and...

Booked the Terrace Room for Golden Wedding Dinner for a small number of family and friends all of whom stayed overnight. On our arrival in the early afternoon we were greeted by warm and friendly staff who could not have been more helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean, roomy and warm (cold wet February day) Dinner was served in a...

From the beginning... Drive up was very pretty even though it was raining and dark! We could tell instantly that this was going to be a relaxing break. Check in was fine (desk unattended) Receptionist was fairly friendly and told us exactly where everything was. We checked into our Cottage room which was very clean tidy and everything you would...

Stayed one night with friends as a birthday gift to me. It is a great location an was very quiet when we stayed in late January. We had the evening dining room to ourselves, so the service was very good, but suspect it is like that anyway as our waiter was very personable. The food at dinner was very good,...

My fiancé and I visited last Sunday for a leisurely 3 course lunch. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and tasty. We had a lovely table. We found the service good and the waiters very polite. The building and setting are beautiful and we will be back very soon. Amazing value for money as well. Thank you for a wonderful...

We booked here for a one night stay in January, so not the best time of year to enjoy the setting...however, it is beautiful and must be great in warmer months. Check in was efficient. Our room was modern, small, and clean. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. Prior to dinner we...

I stayed here with my fiancée from boxing day for 3 nights. The location is beautiful and you are not too far away from certain attractions. We went to the bottom of the peak district and hired a bike each from the Ashbourne centre and cycled the Tissington trail. We also went to Twycross Zoo. Both were only a 20...
