I stayed here at it was the closet place for the night out I was going to, bearing in mind I had to get ready here... There was no mirror above the dressing table, the closest one was near the door (thank God my straightener's cord stretched), there was no hook on the bathroom door, no introduction book / folder...

Brilliant no fuss accommodation, we stayed one night B&B. Service was great and the rooms clean, tidy and authentic. Breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the grounds was fantastic. The gardens were a treat to explore. Fully recommend.

My wife and I stayed at Makeney Hall Hotel with friends for a couple of days in December. We had an executive room in the Hall which was spacious and comfortable. There are more modern rooms in the extension which might not have had our squeeky floorboards, but probably come with with less charm. The room was generally clean although...

Booked to stay at the hotel through secret escapes and got a real bargain, including a two course dinner and breakfast with our stay. My husband and I stayed in room 31 and were pleasantly surprised by the modern bathroom and huge, comfortable bed. We slept really well and had a relaxing time. The staff at the hotel and in...

We booked five rooms, grandma , two sisters, brother , partners and three teenagers. So two rooms should have been twin rooms, they were double. No way was grandma sleeping with one of the teenagers, it just wasn't right. We asked if the beds could be split and remade as twins. They said they didn't have enough staff. Asked for extra...

We had a great 3 course lunch in the Milford Suite. Room was nicely and tastefully decorated. Staff were very friendly and atmosphere was great too. Had a look round Makeney Hall as it was my first visit and had a couple of drinks in the cocktail bar. Would recommend for a special meal or stay.

Came here with high expectations as the reviews and pictures of the place looked great Probably not the best time of year to visit on a grey winters days which made the grounds and building look a bit shabby, unkept and in need of a bit of love and attention Inside the hotel you get the old country house feel...

I visited Makeney Hall for a one night stay recently. I arrived in the dark so could not appreciative how attractive I am sure the hotel looks. The car park is very dark and with limited lighting which does not feel overly safe. Check in was smooth and staff pleasant. My room was large and clean with good decor although...
