Had a lovely meal here after a walk round Ladybower reservoir. You can take your dogs into the bar area, or get away from people's dogs in other areas if you prefer. Roaring fires and cosy decor, including fascinating pictures of the local area. The food is good, though not amazing, though the atmosphere and location more than make uo...

Great place to stay and eat. Food is good room relaxing with a great ensuite. The bed was so comfortable and everything is very clean and fresh. Staff are friendly and little touches such as homemade biscuits on the bedroom tea tray make this place special.

Stopped here in October, it was absolutely lovely. Stopped here in February, and it was appalling. It's really let itself down, got here on Thursday night, went to use the shower and it was broken. They were decent enough to move us to a new room however the bed was significantly smaller. In the morning we ordered breakfast and asked...

Just returned from our 12th break at the Yorkshire Bridge, and still have not found the 'workhouse conditions' that a tiny minority appear to have experienced. I would question the motives of these people, with such a huge majority of visitors rating the Bridge as 'excellent', us included. We have looked time and time again for the famous grumpy barman,but...

What a fabulous dog friendly place. The accommodation perfect like home from home. Food lovely and most importantly dog friendly. Will definitely be returning. Faultless and thats saying something.A most relaxing stay.made to feel very welcome. The dog enjoyed her stay too...if she could speak she'd have mentioned the free dog biscuits at the bar and a bed in her...

The staff seem quite aloof. Unfriendly even. The bartender wouldn't even recommend a bitter to try. Once I ordered, I was gobsmacked at the price....1 Pint of Guinness, ! half of bitter, 1 half of lemonade, and 3 bags of crisps = £10.30. Unreal. Plus the toilet in the bar is miniscule. It's hardly fit for purpose.

On a whim we booked an overnight stay. At £55 for a Saturday night's B and B for a double en suite room for two it was outstanding value. The hotel is located on the main road next to Ladybower Reservoir. It has spacious car parks for both residents and pub goers. The pub is traditional in style, well furnished...

This Inn was absolutely lovely, from the moment we went in we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our room. They allow dogs and our Patterdale terrier was greeted with a cute little welcome pack too! The food was beautiful at dinner and for breakfast and when we checked out, the owner recommended Hassop Station to us and...

We were visiting the Peak District to go walking in the Hills. Check in was seemless. We stayed in Room 10, which was comfortable, spacious and had a fantastic power shower..!! Both the breakfast and evening meals were very good. We have allergies to oil, but when asked to dry fry/grill certain food, nothing was too much trouble - they...

Booked at short notice as a overnight away treat. We had a couple of drinks at the bar, cosy fire and good selection of local ales. Dinner was well cooked and hearty portions, specials board was a bit sparse but plenty of variety on normal menu to suit most people. Room 3 was lovely, nicely furnished and cosy with nice...
