This is a difficult review to write. On one hand the staff were absolutely fantastic, the food was very good and the room (No.6) and bathroom was very clean. .However, there was a slight problem inasmuch that our room was directly above the main bar. Ordinarily this would not be a problem but when the noise filtered into our room...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time! Andy, Matt and all the staff were excellent. Probably the best pub food I've ever had as well and at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend!!!

Location is great for walking and visiting the caverns in the area. We stayed in an apartment which was spacious and had everything we needed. Our TV signal kept cutting out, however this ended up being a good thing. We had an evening meal which was well priced, delicious and generous; massive portions of treacle sponge pudding! We had an...

My partner and I visited the pub after having to make a detour on a walk near the Ladybower reservoir due to a flooded path. We were drenched and tired and in need of a warm, cosy pub to take shelter in. When we got there the pub seemed cold and some areas inside it were in darkness. The member...

We stopped for a quick beer on the way past but did not feel inclined to eat as it was a little run down and we were the only visitors. Like many places in the area it is set out like a canteen with no cozy places to sit and snuggle.

Such a warm and friendly place, the staff go out of their way to help you.. food is lovely with a variety of hot or cold meals, and I was delighted to find a range of vegetarian options. The rooms are warm and clean, I found the bed very comfortable, and slept sound.

A trip out today to the Snake Pass Inn after the snow, seemed quite a fitting place to go to commemorate the death of our son with our two younger teenage kids and also to check it out for our wedding anniversary dinner. We were greeted by the new manager Sean who made us feel welcome. Unfortunately his chef for...
