We wanted to stay in the town centre so we could walk around with easy access to bars cafes etc, for this reason its dead central.the Tissington trail is just over the road for easy access to the white peak.secure parking to the rear, It has all the quirks of a grand old building more than 114 years old.we had...

From the grand facade to the warm welcome from the hosts, from the stunning room to the delicious breakfast, this was a delightful stay. This does not look like a modern, chain hotel (thank heavens), but the facilities are perfect, even down to an excellent (free) WiFi signal. The hotel itself is across the road from The Tissington Trail, and...

Western stayed here in mid January and got a four poster room for £95. This is probably reflective of the fact that the town was pretty much deserted. We were met by Dave on reception. He was very helpful and gave usome all the information we needed. There are, as other reviews state, some parts of the hotel that look...

Came for a cycle along the Tissington Trail and this couldn't be any closer! On arrival (mid-week during school holidays) we were upgraded to a charming 4-poster room. The breakfast is enormous - enough to last all day even with the cycling. Ashbourne is a lovely village with some super restaurants and if we visited again we wouldn't hesitate to...

I stayed here with a couple of German colleagues recently for two nights. I wanted something different from the usual chain hotels, maybe with a bit of character. We arrived in the evening to be met by a very helpful man (not sure if he was the owner), who advised us on places to eat in a pretty much deserted...

We do hope David, that your German colleagues enjoyed their stay at the Station Hotel. It was unfortunate that you missed breakfast on the first morning but a hefty reduction in your bill and profuse apologies were obviously not acceptable to yourself, it was a shame that you could not partake in breakfast the second morning also. We do pride...

Breakfast was served in a front room off the entrance hall with beautiful upholstered chairs and...

Nothing really stand out in this hotel good or bad. Certainly no complaints about comfort or service. The location was excellent as the Tissington trail is just across the road and as a reluctant runner a great running route is very welcome. The bed was VERY comfortable, good space in the room and a tasty breakfast. The one thing I...
