The entrance and surroundings are stunning. The check in was crowed, awful and unorganised... needs a member of staff to direct cars. The car park was blocked due to families at the back of the que checking in before others who were waiting at a barrier. The pitch was uneven and in the back of the field miles away from...

Went for 2 nights at the start of Aug 2016. Was much nicer than I expected the pitches are brilliant size and lt's great that you can park your car next to your tent. The outdoor swimming pool is a little cold but very clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and the food to eat out...

My family, me, the wife and my 10 and 11 year olds stayed here for a short break at the beginning of August. We arrived at reception and we were guided to field 3 pitch 157 with our tourer. As soon as I backed on there was a strong smell of urine towards the back of the pitch near the...

This place is more like a war camp, kids screaming all day and well into the night, tent pitches are very close to each other and you can hear your neighbours life stories all day.....Ashbourne itself is a peaceful and beautiful place, so if it's peace you want, don't go to callow top

I visited here as a family with a 4 and 6 year old to try out camping. We were in field 6 which has a nice layout with all the tents around the perimeter road and a playing field in the middle which the kids loved. The pool was extremely busy, whilst not "warm" the heating did take the chill...

Arrived and checked in fine. Nice pitches, could just do with a few more toilets as a bit of a walk at night when in further a field pitches. Only downfall really was the outdoor pool, says heated but it was freezing. This was a shame as my daughter loves swimming and was one of the reasons we booked but...

My parents were staying over at Callow Top and as we are local we decided to pay them a visit for an hour, i was pleasantly surprised, we met them by the fishing lake at the bottom near the entrance, i was there for 5 minutes and my dad caught 2 fish so if that is your thing then you...

For a family holiday we went to this park. It was very busy and had a lot of facilities for family and children. There are good facilities and pitches for tents are a good size. The toilets were well kept. There was a bar and restaurant in site. The restaurant has all its food as take out so if you...

This is possible the worst site we as a family have stayed at! On arrival you are required to park and go to reception to get pitch number, there is no parking and everyone was blocked in! This sites only concern is making money as the tents are crammed in and its awful. You can hear the people breathing in...

Stayed here with 2 children 8 and 13 and friends and their 2 children. Stayed in field 6 liked that all the tents were around the edges leaving loads of room in the middle to play games. Location is good, scenery lovely. Pub food ok quality. Didn't have problems with loud music, but driving through site is a little daunting...
