We booked to stay in the new treehouse on the farm. There was 2 adults and 2 mid teens in our party. We also paid the small supplement to take our dog. On arrival we were greeted in a lovely manner and were given some scones and jam which were a wonderful welcome treat. The accommodation was immaculate and whilst...

I stumbled across Wallace Lane Farm whilst looking for a nice weekend away ideally in a cabin with a hot tub! I'm so glad I did! The new treehouse cabin was lovely, the owners of the farm couldn't do enough for you, we had access to roam around the land and also say good morning to the livestock and horses...

We stayed here for one night in winter and it was great! The couple who ran the B&B were really friendly and answered all our questions about shops, places to eat and what to go and see. They were really friendly to our dog and he also had a great time. The rooms were very nice, well presented and clean....

My partner and I were lucky enough to stay in the beautiful Nuthatch Cottage, for a whole week of pure bliss! Everything was perfect: Nothing was too much to ask of the owners; The rooms were comfortable and warm; The kitchen has everything you need to make yourself feel at home; A small town 10 minutes away to get all...

A short stay as I was working in the area on business, just one night in one of the first floor rooms on a B&B basis. Lovely old farmhouse, nice and warm and cosy. Good old fashioned creaky floorboards add to the experience! Friendly farmhouse dog and cat, too! It's well off the beaten track so it's nice and quiet,...

We recently stayed in Woodpecker Cottage over the new year and found this place absolutely adorable, very nice owners live next door, fresh flowers and a box of chocolates to welcome us, kitchen very well equipped and has every thing you need, lovely relaxing comfortable lounge, bags of hot water for showers, the one thing that made it special was...

I was working in Carlisle so chose it opting for a rural bed & breakfast and was pleased. The room was lovely and the en suite was good. It had a shower and no bath which is fine by me. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. One downside was the door to the room was thin and allowed noise...

We only stayed one night, as we were just passing through, but wished it could have been longer. The bedroom was lovely: spacious and clean, well decorated and with a really nice en-suite. The setting was absolutely beautiful and the room afforded lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The owners couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and breakfast in...

Lovely place to stay. I was just passing through so only there for one night but wish I could have stayed longer. Its a very quiet location, the owners are so friendly and helpful, giving lots of advice about the local area. Had to go elsewhere for an evening meal but was given good directions. Room beautifully done, very comfortable,...

We picked this site for two reasons (1) we wanted to be away from all the busy tourist areas in the lakes (2) we wanted a quiet small site. Location wise is was great - very quiet area 3miles to the nearest village but not too far away for visiting Ullswater/Keswick - both about 30/35 mins away. The site was...
