Stopped here after completing the Reivers Way cycle route. The guesthouse has secure cycle parking in the garage. It is a lovely house with large rooms and a huge garden at the rear. Our room was very comfortable with a modern en suite bathroom. Breakfast was good and the owner will make it as early as you like. Overall a...

Stayed here with friends for 1 night before starting our C2C cycle to Sunderland. A warm welcome from the owner, our bikes safely locked away in his garage. The Building has a very grand feel about it. Unfortunately it could do with some modernising on the carpet, bedding and furniture front. We had a bedroom at the top of the...

Stayed here overnight before my C2C attempt. Only a 5 minute walk from the train station (Corkicle). Was greeted by Peter who was very pleasant and stored my bike securely. Like other people have mentioned the outside does the inside no justice. The interior is very grandeur and the rooms are large and spacious. I requested an early (6am) cooked...

We stayed for 2 nights in July 2016. A very nice large house with a beautiful garden. Rooms were large with tea/coffee-making facilities available and replenished daily or on request. We had a lovely stay and Liz & Peter were nice and friendly. The cooked breakfast was a good start to the day. Would stay again.

My son was doing the C2C again, with his two friends and I had no hesitation to book them all into this B2B. We arrived very late but this wasn't a problem, the bikes were stored securely away and the lads had a lovely stay. Thank you for looking after them.

My dad and I were doing the Coast to Coast so arrived in Whitehaven quite late ready to start the next day. We were welcomed warmly and our bikes were locked up in a secure garage. Our room was lovely, we both felt really at home and were provided with a lovely cooked breakfast the next day. Would definitely stay...

Five of us stayed for one night before setting out on a coast to coast charity cycle challenge. We received a friendly and helpful welcome even though we arrived late due to traffic and breakfast was left out for us to accommodate a 5am departure. Accommodation is clean and cost-effective. No complaints!

The hosts made us (myself, husband, two teenage children) feel very welcome, we stored our bikes away and was very impressed with the grandeur of the house, our family room was huge, which can always be an issue when you have two tall teenagers too, but this room was perfect. The beds were the right size too (often they get...
