My Aunt and Uncle stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting in the area (as they are are not computer literate, I am writing review for them). Their room was lovely, airy and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and their stay was all in all, fabulous. They are elderly and were rather nervous as they are not used to being away...

We stayed at the guest house in April 2014, me and 2 mates did a charity coast to coast bike ride and stayed here on the evening we started. We arrived later than planned but was still looked after. They allowed us to leave the van and even when we collected after the ride we was allowed to freshen up...

Very high quality guesthouse: Spacious, clean and comfortable room, great breakfast, WiFi working perfectly and the hosts Andrew and Joanne gave invaluable recommendations for hiking in the area. Great value for money as well! Highly recommended.

Croft Hill Guest House is brighter, quieter, and very much cleaner than many hotels. We stayed in Room 4 (ensuite) and even though our special request was a great deal of trouble and for one night only, Joanne and Andrew complied with pleasure. Full, fresh English breakfast cooked on an AGA cooker, fire in the grate, brisk English countryside outside,...

I stayed here as a single visitor for 3 months between September and December 2013 while working in the area. The rooms in the guest house were in my opinion, such high quality it was like staying in 5 star accommodation. Most of my stay was spent in the attic conversion which has an area just inside the door like...

As entertainers, we had a little job in Whitehaven, and picked the Croft Hill based on TripAdvisor reviews. First impressions weren't great, with no signage confirming location, and with three carelessly parked cars taking up enough space for five cars. We had to park carefully just inside the property wall to make sure we blocked no-one. The entrance porch area...

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Woolfest in Cockermouth. Croft Hill is a lovely guest house and is in a lovely, quiet location with surrounding countryside. We were welcomed by Andrew and shown to room 3, twin. The room contained everything we needed and we only 'shared' the huge bathroom for 1 night with room 1 with no problems....

We have stayed at Andrew and Joanne's beautiful guest house several times and it is always an excellent experience. Their converted Georgian farmhouse set high up on the main route into Whitehaven is understated, decorated and kept to a very high standard. We have stayed in both the corner room on first floor (room 2) and the loft conversion which...

We stayed here for one night at short notice owing to the poor weather forecast, rather than stay in an unheated caravan. We were a little apprehensive about the shared bathroom arrangement, however, as previous reviewers had identified, this was spacious, spotlessly clean and modern and caused no issues for us. Our room was more than adequate, very comfortable beds,...

We stayed at this guest house as we are currently relocating to west lakes and needed a place to stay while we had a look at a few properties. It is in a great location, only a short drive from Whitehaven town centre and really easy to find. We did have a little bit of a problem with check-in which...
