Booked a night whilst doing the Dalesway long distance walk. Smooth arrangements, very helpful host, lovely place and lovely people. Would recommend and return. Thx to Janet especially for the ferrying about!

We stayed here for one night while walking the Dales Way. It is very conveniently situated for Dales Way walkers as it is right on the path. We received a warm welcome and felt very much at home here as soon as we arrived. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious with great views of the local landscape. Janet was...

We arrived after a days walking and could not have been made more welcome. The room was perfect, our meal excellent and our hosts very easy going. We were made to feel like part of the family. Highly reccommended.

We loved our stay in Bramaskew. Janet gave us a very friendly welcome and her "Full English Breakfast" was beautifully cooked and extremely tasty. Nothing was too much bother and Janet gave us information about the local area when we asked. The room we had was extremely comfortable with outstanding views over the fells and the quiet peace of the...

We had the pleasure of spending a week in May in the self-catering cottage on the Bramaskew Farm. Even though the weather was about as bad as it could be, the cottage itself and owner's welcome made us forget the rain and cold. James and Janet greeted us with a homemade cake and dozen free range eggs and gave us...

We visited Janet at Bramaskew in April 2015 when walking from Ilkley to Bowness. We later had to abandon that walk so decided to try again in July, this time from Bowness. One of the first things we did when re-arranging the walk was to see whether Janet had a room available. It turned out that she didn't have space...

Arrived here after a very wet day and were made to feel very welcome. We were able to dry our boots and waterproofs, and then settled into a lovely big room with a large comfortable bed. It was nice to have a settee too. We had the home cooked evening meal which was delicious. Such a relaxing place to stay...

We stayed one night while walking the Dales Way. We had a room with windows on both sides and the most incredible views. The roast beef (from their cows) with Yorkshire was the best ever, and the eggs for breakfast absolutely incredible! We intend to come back again for a few days, it is such a jewel of a place!!

A huge room with windows on two sides and wonderful views, a fabulous meal of shepherds pie with lamb from their farm and beautiful vegetables, a marvellous crumble and a fantastic, warm, responsive and helpful landlady (who had to pop out for some sheep activity which she cheerfully did). Thank you Janet - you are great !

We stayed at Bramaskew overnight when walking the Dalesway and it was just perfect. We had a beautiful room with wonderful views to the fells from windows on two aspects and watched new lambs playing 'king of the castle' on a tree stump just outside. We had been told by friends that Janet's cooking is legendary and they weren't wrong....

“I would recommend this place for the views of The Fells are stunning from all around it.”

“The double looks out onto the Lune valley, the twin onto the fells. Both are good sized rooms and the double can accommodate an extra single. Both rooms are on the first floor up two short flights of stairs”
