Popped in for an afternoon beer in great warm weather. Good selection of beers. Went back for dinner in the restaurant. Good ambience, okay service (the staff were new and still learning) and fantastic food. The service needs too improve to match the quality of the food!

Good food with a nice room. Let down by young inexperienced staff and staff who didn't have a full command of the English language. Booked a twin room to be given a double that was re-rolled swiftly. Located in the heart of the town so convenient to shops and restaurants. We had a short walk from the acual Dales Way...

I have been going to The Dalesman for years now and it had been good for food and drink until recently. The staff, though pleasent, were clueless. The beers were flat, they mixed two gins instead of the one asked for. We had a very long wait and the food was mediocre but very, very pricey. They are taking advantage of...

Decided to take a trip away last minute & found this online. Stayed in room 1 which was really lovely (apart from the towel rail being on & red hot)! Fab stay & the food in the pub was great! Maybe a little prices but I wasn't disappointed at all. Recommended!

We arrived on time for our booked table but were told another party who were an hour late would take precedence. Ok not a big deal but a little inconvenient. By the time our meal came it was an hour after we came in. But my main grouse is about the price of the food. This is pub grub however...

Called in after we passed by in the car. It was a red hot day. We sat outside under a parasol, very pleasant. Had a nice quiet drink and something to eat. Choice of food was excellent and so was the taste.

We booked two nights here for a brief honeymoon and selected it for its 4* status with it being a special occasion. However, this place is at best 2*. We had Room 5 which was the attic - so cramped you couldn't walk down either side of the bed and it had two velux windows with no blinds. The toilet...

What a great stop! We were soaked to the skin on arrival at this lovely country Inn. We were welcomed and shown to our large, attractive room. Great en suite bathroom. We were able to dry our clothes and even our boots. Showered, changed and warm, we had a great meal with a couple of pints of fine ale, and...

Stopped in for a drink whilst waiting for our Chinese! Dimly lit as it was evening, wish we'd had chance to eat here as the restaurant area looked really romantic and cosy. Nice choice of beers which weren't too badly priced. Would like to return next time we're in the area.
