We popped in for a cup of tea and to browse the newspaper but were so comfortable and well looked after that we decided to have lunch too. The quiche was delicious and the service faultless. Very friendly and welcoming.

Passing through Dent to see where our relatives used to farm, came in as the village's two pubs don't serve food until 6. Nice little cafe, with big black range and exposed beams, the service was nice and attentive, the cream tea was good and I can recommend their tuna mayo sandwich Overall a nice place for a cuppa.

We stayed here for one night while walking the Dales Way. We received a warm welcome (including warm scones!) and were shown to our beautiful, comfortable room. Stone Close is a wonderful old building full of original features and our hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the building. The house may be old but our bathroom...

Myself and my husband were originally just driving through Dent with no intention of stopping for a bite to eat. We popped into the George for a drink but it was so lifeless in there that we decided to drink up quick, have a bimble around Dent and make our way back to the car. It was by chance that...

My sister and I walked the Dalesway in April 2016. We had booked to stay in Stone Close Tea Room and Guest House in Dent for one night, April 11th. However, the owner rang my sister on March 11th asking where we were. My sister explained that there was a mistake, we weren't due to stay there until April 11th...

A quaint little cottage with rustic original features really made you feel like you where in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We arrived shortly after midday, the full English breakfast was no longer an option as...

We arive after 15 miles of hard walking and Diana the owner had a large pot of tea and a plate of cakes waiting before we had even removed our boots. The rooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was wonderful this is excellent value for money. This place oozes old school charm and friendliness, i'm now...

Recent nostalgic visit back after many years away from Dent village, which was a base from which I enjoyed many happy holidays walking in and around Dentdale. As then the Stone Close Tea Rooms and Guest House remains for me still the best around bar none. The look and feel are welcoming and the place is authentic in its decor...
