Stayed on Sunday and Monday night had lovely room overlooking garden. Ate in the restaurant on Sunday and in the bar on Monday, both meals were very good the menu is the same in the bar and restaurant . The bar is very busy on Sunday. All staff were helpful and friendly have stayed before and we will return.

We arrived at the Swan on a dark and wet Saturday night. Entering the Swan you are greeted with a bright cheerful atmosphere; innately kitsch with the staff in uniforms looking like they were made in the 1950s. Shown to our room we were pleasantly surprised. We walked into a space that felt like we should have been at a...

Had an excellent evening meal here. Plenty of atmosphere, bright decor and fantastic staff. I would rate the waiting staff as equal to the best I have experienced. Makes such a difference. Opted for the posh nosh menu. Starter. Venison scotch egg. Taste and texture was great. Tandoori Cod for main course. Again fantastic flavours and texture. Filtered coffee cafeteria...

We stayed at the Swan Hotel on Thursday 5th January and was pleased about the special offer that they had of Lunch with a glass of fizz, bed, breakfast and a massage! We couldn't check in until 3pm and with nothing to do or to walk to in the local area it was a case of just relaxing in the...

Visited here on December 24th for family members birthday. Told on booking it was lunch with Santa and a set menu in the restaurant. As there was 10 of us we took this table as couldn't risk getting bar table. I'm in two minds about the review, as I love the Swan and it's welcoming atmosphere/lovely food but the set...

We really enjoyed our stay, very cosy hotel and amazing food. However we were in room 202 which was the first room on the way to all other rooms on the first floor and we could hear all the guests walking past. Especially the talking, it sounded like they were in our room, especially the wedding guests later at night...

A superb hotel. Great surroundings and excellent food. Highly recommended. The homely feel of the cosy areas to sit in for pre or after dinner drinks was lovely. The staff were very helpful and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The only negative was having to walk through a group of smokers stood at the entrance upon arrival. Thus was quite...

Hotel & location good but not located on main part of lake so our 'lake view' room wasn't as we had expected. Hotel was let down somewhat by the restaurant service & quality & selection of food. Breakfast service was unacceptably slow. Pool & jacuzzi over run with children so not a relaxing area. Not enough staff working in the...
