We've just come back from a weekend away at the Westlakes and would thoroughly recommend it. The rooms are well-appointed and have all the facilities you'd expect, the location is excellent with great views and easy access, and the hotel itself is a nice, characterful place but the crowning glory is the staff who couldn't have been more helpful. We...

I went for the restaurant only. Yes, it's not the cheapest place, but it was worth every penny. The food and the service was faultless, and they'd obviously trained the young staff very well indeed. Not false, but felt genuinely welcoming. The place itself is delightful, with pleasing decor. Would definitely return.

This was my wife's first holiday in the Lake District so we wanted something special. We weren't disappointed. The house is beautiful, the location superb - between the mountains and the sea - and the owners are one of the warmest couples I have ever met. There is plenty of parking in the hotel grounds. The room was big and...

Four of us have just had three nights dinner bed and breakfast here. Deborah and Geoff along with each and every member of staff are the most hospital and friendly team that you are likely to find, and they really aim to please their guests. It is like staying with good friends. The lovely building is spotlessly clean and well...

I have stayed in this hotel for at least a couple of nights a week for the last 6 months. It is a really friendly place, lovely people, lovely food, in a beautiful part of the country. The rooms are spacious and well presented, parking is plentiful, and the local village of Gosforth is a typical picturesque lake district village

A very clean and comfortable hotel in the village of Gosforth. We chose this hotel as a base to walk in the Western Lakes. The hotel is very well run, the room was excellent and the staff were all excellent, both friendly and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
