Arrived to a lovely warm welcome from Julie who showed us to our room , we stayed in Kent, and it was beautiful, lovely and warm and very comfortable. I especially liked the roll top bath, ( very posh ). The breakfast was delicious, as was the evening meal on the first night, my husband had steak and l had...

We have stayed at uplands previously and had a lovely stay. When we stayed last time we had paid extra for a room upgrade but didn't this time. The room was absolutely fine, clean and comfortable but only downside was the bathroom needed an upgrade. The owners were friendly and as we couldn't eat in their resteraunt as they had...

We stayed here whilst in Cartmel for a meal at L'Enclume. We left booking a bit late and this seemed to be literally the last room available in Cartmel when booking two weeks in advance in November. The best I can say is that we were able to check in early, there was a good view and the room was...

Thank you for your review Sorry you didn't enjoy our stay with us, but i will try address some of the points you raised. I think some of your comments are down to personal taste as we have lots of comments how comfy the bed is and the mattress is only a couple of months old and was an expensive...

We stayed for 1 night as we were eating in nearby L'Enclume. We were in Lune which was a nice room with lovely views. The welcome was friendly & the room had everything we needed. Breakfast is served from 8.30. If like us you are early risers you can walk along the road to Grange over Sands & enjoy a...

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Our bedroom overlooking the bay ,and our bathroom needed decorating as paper was peeling from the walls. Both dinner and breakfast were well presented and all the courses were substantial. If the weather had been better we would have used the outside seating.

Hi Thank you so much for the review you have left for us, I agree with you that the room did need painting we have actually just tiled round the bathroom window as we have had a problem with the roof so hopefully that is now sorted. We have just spent a two night break at Uplands Hotel booked through groupon. The offer included two breakfasts and one dinner. The hotel seemed very quiet with very few people around and mealtimes confirmed this. The quality of the meals was very good, so much so, that we ate at the hotel on our second night. The groupon offer...

Good points were large main courses and a larger television than usual in our room. Not realising how generous the main courses were, I asked for a large roast turkey breast, and was served with an amount that was suitable for an extreme glutton. Less good points were a shower rather than a bath, that breakfast was not served before...

Thank you for your review Sorry you didn't have a bath in your room but if you had mentioned it when booking we could have accommodated you as 5 out of the 8 rooms do have baths, we generally find people asking for it the other way around and want to make sure they have a shower As we are...

We stayed here 18 months ago and said then we'd try again, especially with offers on, as we stay frequently in area and get his deals elsewhere. We had a few gripes about the noise and heating etc previously, but we didn't have the same issues this time, well apart from the occasional lonely dog bark. The staff were really...
