arrived after a long working day to a pleasant welcome. Spacious room, faced onto the road but wasn't troubled much by road noise, much more pleasant than a standard Eurobox type room. Free Wifi worked fine, TV with Freeview and decent tea/coffee tray. Found evening meal helpings a bit small but made up for by the breakfast which included a...

Stayed here for a weekend and ate at the hotel both nights. The food was good, and not too pricey, and the service also. Though the hotel was a little tired and in need of some tlc the whole experience was nevertheless good value for money. A handy place to stay for visiting the Lake District.

I arrived at about 5.45 after a long trip from home and a days work. Lesley on reception was full of smiles and its such a lovely change to be treated with a genuine smile. I had my evening meal in the restaurant and the two young ladies serving were also charming and helpful Lucinda & Charlotte. I was guided...

The one night break was booked as a 25th Wedding Anniversary present by our children who wanted it to be very special. From the first moment of our arrival, the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The room was great, beautifully clean with comfortable twin beds. Our evening meal was absolutely delicious, as was the cooked breakfast the...

We came here for Sunday lunch and what a disappointment. We were greeted by Father Christmas! Not a good start it's only October. The dining room was cold and uninviting. Service was like something from the 1970s where we had to order starter main and pud all at the same time! I had the vegetarian curry and I still don't...
