Stayed there for 3 nights for the first time over Easter and will definitely be returning. Everything about the stay was perfect-the staff were wonderful, extremely friendly and hospitable especially Zara. Upon arrival, they showed us to our rooms and made us feel very welcome straight away! The rooms themselves were very nice and comfortable. The food...Well, that was something... More

We have just returned from a wonderful few days here. The room was amazing, a double bath with a fantastic view and bubbles too!! The food in the restaurant was brilliant quality every night and the staff are all so attentive. The lounge area is very comfortable, a lovely place to relax after a day's walking.

Wonderful hotel in the beautiful Borrowdale valley. The food is definitely a highlight. The managers and staff were really friendly and helpful - they added some nice touches for the Easter weekend. The bedrooms and bar have been renovated to a high quality.

Lovely little hotel with friendly staff and gorgeous setting. Lots of great little touches in room and evening meal excellent. Unfortunately the only thing making it 4 rather than 5 out of 5 is the fact that the bed wasn't king sized which seemed odd in a hotel of this standard. If that were changed, we'd definitely be back in... More

What a delightful place to escape to for the weekend! This hotel felt so homely & welcoming, with warm & attentive hosts/owners. The location is great on the shores of derwentwater, with a choice of walks on your doorstop and only minutes to Keswick. Our room was spotless and more than comfortable with lovely views. The lounge, for me, did... More

I had a wonderful time staying at this Lodge. The property was beautiful, the room and bed were superbly comfortable and the 3 course dinner was magnificent. I particularly enjoyed having a pre-dinner gin in front of the fire. The staff were gracious, efficient and courteous and enhanced my first ever visit to the Lake District. After travelling through a... More

Stayed here in probably the wettest week in a long time but loved this hotel. It might have been very wet outside but the hotel was total luxury and to have the open fire to come home to was fantastic. We had Dinner and Breakfast at the hotel and it was a real delight eating that food every night. The... More

We are always looking for a place to relax where sudden jars in the peaceful ambiance are limited to a minimum. I can confirm that The Leathes Head is such a place. The moment you enter the hall and your feet click onto the magnificent restored hall floor you know you have entered the correct establishment. There is no faded... More

This was an outstanding, luxurious stay with attentive, friendly hosts and staff. We stayed in Superior Spa Room 5. This is a beautifully furnished large room with seating area, Jacuzzi style bath and double shower with far reaching views from the windows. The finishes are superb with vileroy and boch bathroom suite (oh yes I'm the type to notice everything!)... More

The Leathes Head is a magnificent eleven bedroom Edwardian Country House Hotel, situated in the unspoilt Borrowdale Valley. The hotel is set amongst three acres of private grounds and is surrounded by stunning scenery, meandering rivers and some of the most spectacular fells in North West England. With superb views across the valley and easy access to Keswick, this is the perfect place for a relaxing break. The entire Borrowdale Valley is ringed by glorious fells known and loved by seasoned walkers.
