We stayed for the valentines weekend and have to say both my wife and I loved it. We stayed in a suite which as a room blew us away, so spacious and rich in its decor just what you would expect from staying in such a place. The food in the 1854 restraunt was equally as good, we had three...

I booked this through secret escapes for a dinner, bed and breakfast deal in a classic room and upgraded the dinner to the 1851 restaurant. The hotel itself is in an impressive setting and looks quite spectacular. Our room was very small, a bit dark and cold on first entering. The bathroom was small but clean, it had a bath...

Where do I start. Setting, building very atmospheric - 5 stars. Bedrooms - clean, modern bathrooms, bedrooms small and drab - in fairness it is supposed to be a medieval castle - built in 1851 - so 3.5 stars for the rooms. Reception - friendly, professional nice area - 5 stars. Food - we ate in the 1851 restaurant and...

This one night stay was a gift from my daughter. This hotel was o/k, there was no atmosphere.Bedroom was very small and dark. The over the bath shower was inadequate for price paid. There was no wi-fi in any parts of hotel. The restaurant was very pleasant, but the standard evening meal selection was not a very good choice for...

Thanks for your comments. We do have high speed wi-fi in all areas of the castle, I am unsure as to why you could not connect. We believe the bedrooms and bathrooms are well sized and do offer good value for money. The evening meal for dinner inclusive packages includes 4 options to choose from for all 3 courses, again...

Spectacular setting, what else could I ask for to impress my wife on our 34th anniversary. To travel up the long drive and through the castle arch way into the inner keep, and right up to the door to reception, made her feel as grand as a Princess. Even I was overwhelmed! We had arrived early having booked in for...

We found this through a Secret Escapes deal that I bought as a surprise treat for my partner. We stayed one night in the Broxton room which was stunning and had a gorgeous roll top bath and a super comfy, huge bed! Room facilities were spot on! We ate in the Brasserie in the evening which was nice and quiet,...

Stayed here in January 2016 for partners birthday, I have nothing negative to say, felt welcome and valued as a guest from the moment we stepped out of the car. Stayed in Tattenhall Room - amazing vaulted ceiling and massive comfy bed. My only regret was booking 1 night and not 2. Can't wait to go back pure indulgence.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this stunning hotel. We had booked a b&b classic room deal directly with the hotel. On arrival, our car was valet parked whilst our luggage was taken to our room. The ensuite of our room smelt stale and odd. I reported this to reception who arranged for one of the cleaning staff...

My partner and I stayed here for the night after hearing good reviews of the castle. We booked a 2 course meal at 2010 Brassiere, a nights stay and breakfast. We had a wonderful time. Drinks in the cellar, meal and breakfast were all above what we expected. Staff were great too, good team for the Thursday night we stayed....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Peckforton Castle - An enchanting Hotel in the heart of Cheshire. Rising majestically above the Cheshire landscape, the castle is both enigmatic and enchanting. Originally the home of Lord Tollemache and built in the early 19th Century, this Grade I listed building is the only intact medieval style Castle in the country. Over the years the castle has been the location for numerous movies including Robin Hood and Dr Who. Now owned by the Naylor family, the stunning exterior has been complemented by a loving and considered restoration programme resulting in a magnificent hotel and venue offering contemporary luxury and impeccable service. Services include 48 stunning individual guest rooms, conference, events, and wedding facilities for up to 180. Tranquility beauty, on site Falconry and team activities all adding up to a rather magical experience. Dining at the Castle truly is a special occasion, welcoming the public as well as hotel guests. The 1851 Restaurant offers a dining experience fit for royalty. Holder of 3 AA Rosettes and a Taste Cheshire Award. Alternatively the more informal and cosmopolitan 2010 Brasserie, located in the former scullery of the castle, features many of the amazing features of the original scullery including two cast iron cooking ranges dating back to the 1840's. Peckforton Castle's enchanting medieval style beauty and stunning location make it a truly impressive and desirable venue for weddings, christenings, birthday parties, or just about anything that's worth celebrating. Everything plays a part; the fabulous setting, stunning location, the attentive service and smiling faces, the bespoke menus and decorations. A magnificent venue for conferencing and meetings. Within the medieval walls, old and new combine seamlessly to offer state of the art multi media and conference facilities. Captivating on arrival, Peckforton Castle's unspoilt, natural beauty will stimulate and motivate, delight the eye, inspire the mind, tantalise the taste buds and leave you enchanted. ... more   less
