Fantastic staff who are very helpful and will try to make your visit a great one. I stayed at the rear annex with my own private room access, via the car park. Free wifi with a strong signal and fast download was great. The food is good with plenty of real ales. Would I stay again ? Yes definitely...

Some things about this hotel are worthy of 5 stars and some only 3. It is undoubtedly popular as they were packed with diners when we arrived. Our welcome was friendly and we were shown to our room which was clean and generally tastefully decorated - if a little bit overpowered by the scent of air freshener. We did not...

The Swan does an afternoon tea for £7.95 which is a good selection and excellent quality. Highly recommended. Lovely surroundings and comfortable seats. Friendly and helpful staff. Some parking but difficult at busy times.

I stayed here at the beginning of October and the whole experience was absolutely brilliant, the staff were very nice and helpful, the food was great, the atmosphere perfect, I couldn't recommend it enough. I stayed in a room on the top floor with a four poster bed which was very clean and comfortable, it was a Sunday night so...

My husband and I have just spent three very nice days at The Swan. Due to my husbands mobility problems we had room 18 as it has easy access. This was a very nice quite large room and generous ensuite. On our arrival we were met by Sue who showed us to our room told us about the hotel facilities...

We only stayed here one night to break our journey to the north. The exterior of the building is impressive; you can clearly see it was once an old coaching inn. We were generally pleased with our stay but I have to say the interior is starting to look tired and worn. The carpet on the stairs leading up to...

The Swan is a traditional English inn in the centre of the small town of Tarporley. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the linen crisp. Dinner was a step above some pub food, but anyone wanting something foodier would find a couple of other options a short stroll away. Breakfast was up to scratch too. All of the...

Booked a table for 2 for a Saturday lunchtime at this lovely 16th century hotel. Seated in one of the side rooms. Food is ordered at the bar. I ordered beef and ale pie which came with champ (mash with chives), veg and gravy (in a mini saucepan so you can determine the amount yourself) – pie and gravy lovely...
