Visited with my husband for a short break in November. Sat Nav and directions on booking made it really easy to find and we were welcomed by Catherine with a chocolate cake, wine, fresh eggs and milk as well as fresh flowers on the table and a roaring fire already going. This little cottage has a good kitchen, really comfortable...

We stayed for 3 nights. It was a lovely cosy room and the guest lounge was nice to sit and relax in. The house was welcoming and Catherine was friendly. Breakfasts were spot on. So nice to stay somewhere so welcoming, and the kids loved the dogs! Really nice little touches like tea, coffee, hot chocolate and nice biscuits in...

Fantastic place to stay. The cottage is attached to the farm house, with a working dairy farm and stables next door. It's a beautiful area, lovely and peaceful, with the cottage very well equipped and very spacious for 2 people. We arrived to find flowers, a complimentary bottle of wine, a home-made chocolate cake, jug of milk and 6 freshly...

We stayed here as part of an Equestrian Escapes and it was just lovely. Catherine, the host, was lovely too and her cooked breakfasts were just what you needed to start a day of horse riding. The room we stayed in overlooked her livery yard and the we were greeted in the morning by the family's very cute scottie dogs,...

Hill House Farm is justifiably classed at the luxury end of the B&B spectrum. Our room was very comfortable with excellent ensuite shower & WC. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Catherine's cooked English breakfasts are worth getting up for, and set us up nicely for the day ahead. Whilst we did not use it, there is...

Very friendly, fab place to take your horses away on holiday with you. Breakfasts huge, rooms over looking the yard and great facilities for both you and your horses! Fantastic off road hacking nearby with places to have a good canter.

We really loved this B&B. It was a change for us to stay anywhere other than a hotel, and we were not disappointed. Our hosts were wonderful. So friendly and most attentive to small details. It is situated on a farm, which now has only horses, though there were cows next door!!! Our double room was very warm and comfortable....

We stayed in Chirk cottage for 2 nights whilst down at Oulton Park for the British Super Bikes. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and within a leisurely 30 minute walk from the race track which meant we didn't have to take the car and pay for parking. Would highly recommend this for people visiting the race track or...
