We went to the hunters lodge for a family wedding. The room was set out beautifully. The food was spot on. It was served piping hot. I myself have special dietary needs and was catered for extremely well. The staff made sure that I had what I needed. All of the staff were excellent. They were very friendly and polite....

A few days ago me and my friends went for afternoon tea, when we walked in they advised us we were not booked in for afternoon tea even though we only called a few days before. I told the waitress I was a vegetarian she said she will bring across vegetarian sandwiches. When she brought them over she said again...

This is the first time I find myself responding to a review to actually correct the content. We did make a genuine mistake with regard to one of my junior chefs sending out an afternoon tea which was suppose to be vegetarian. I was really upset that the chef in question sent out salmon thinking this was a vegetarian option....

Very friendly hotel. Everyone works towards making it a happy stay. Can't do enough. Comfortable and clean room. Handy for town centre yet in a quiet area looking out onto the countryside. Really enjoyed my overnight stay.

Attended today for Mother's Day. Group of x5. Had to sit apart with x3 on one table and x2 on another. Lots of staff. Well presented. Had to ask for our adult menus as we were all given children's. Had to ask for drinks a few times as it was busy. Decor was dated. As it was a special occasion...

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, nice clean, modern room (231) with everything catered for. Huge free car park so no problems parking. Quiet location in a residential area. Would certainly recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights as we had a family member in the local hospital. We therefore moved rooms so had the benefit of seeing both a twin and a double as a twin was not available on the Sat night. The rooms in the new block (229) are very modern and excellent. In what I would call a stable...

Following a recent family bereavement we booked a funeral tea at The Hunters Lodge. It offers a very pleasant bar lounge with efficient friendly staff. We ordered afternoon tea which was delightful with an abundance of fresh sandwiches and cakes. It was an ideal choice and very relaxing on what was a stressful day. I would certainly recomment this venue...

Typical british hotel with creaky floor and wind behind windows. I love it and you will too. Great british breakfast. Very nice and clean rooms. Parking lot is available. In the evening you can stop by at hotel restaurant for diner.
