Gallows is a very friendly place. The rooms are small but perfectly presented and have all you need. The breakfast was superb. You can get into Cambridge by bus from the village during the day, or park and ride. Excellent value for this gem of a B & B.

An easy place to find, unfortunately lacking private parking. You have to park on the busy street at the front. The room, bedding and bathroom could do with being updated. It looked clean but I unfortunately dropped the key which flew under the bed and I discovered it wasn't the case. Shower enclosure old and a bit grubby, if you...

We just needed a one-night stop-over while we attended a party nearby and were pleasantly surprised by how clean, tidy and well laid out the Gallows Guest House was. The owners completed the check-in procedure swiftly and in a friendly manner. Our room was spacious and, as with everything else, clean and tidy with ample tea and coffee provided in...

Room 3. 1. Hand basin cracked badly and unhygienic. 2. Toilet pan cracked unhygienic. 3. The fan did not function in bathroom consequently the main room and windows became misted up and obviously causing damp in the bedroom. 4. No complimentary shampoo or shower wash. We did not know whether to expect any but in the bathroom were two plastic...

I found the Gallows online and reading the reviews thought I'd give it a try, upon arrival I was given my keys, and my breakfast order was taken, along with what time I would like it so it was cooked fresh and not reheated. My room was a small double, comfortable with a bed that you could sleep forever in,...

Stayed here overnight with my husband. The lady that runs the bed and breakfast wasn't there as she had had an operation so it was being run short-term by the owner's daughter who did a wonderful job. The rooms were clean, white sheets and towels, comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was very good, loads of it and hot, pre ordered...

The Gallows Guest House is a traditional B&B with en-suite facilities. The host (Sarah) is friendly and helpful and cooks a great breakfast, made fresh to order. Some guests were a little inconsiderate, banging doors early in the morning - there is quite a high turnover of people staying, as most seem to be overnighters passing through. The village has...

Used for an overnight stay on business, August 2015. Bed lovely comfy, TV, tea and coffee facilities, bathroom clean and tidy. Breakfast was good and served with a smile - Full english plus cereals and juice. No facility to turn up heating (was actually quite cold for August). Wifi only worked in the very corner of the bathroom. Front bedroom...

We booked to stay at the gallows for a last minute trip and I think we stumbled on a real gem! The landlady was warm and welcoming and the 300 year old house was beautiful. We stayed in room 3,facing the high street and despite having the windows wide open all night,we slept peacefully in the huge super king sized...

This place is a great find :) perfect location and the host was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough. The room was lovely with everything needed. Very homely, great for a stay on a business trip or a relaxing time away. The breakfast is cooked to order, fresh and tasty. Overall a great stay would highly recommend, and very reasonable...
