We got married at Taplow House Hotel 10 years ago and so it seemed the ideal place to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We ordered the standard Afternoon Tea which included 4 types of finger sandwich, 3 types of 'mini-desserts,' fruit & plain scones with cream/jam plus tea or coffee of our job. It was delicious and very filling, so...

A really delightful overnight stay at Taplow Hotel situated in the lovely countryside in Buckinghamshire and only a short drive to Windsor. A nice friendly welcome on our arrival then shown to our room which overlooked the beautiful gardens . After quickly unpacking we were able to sit outside and enjoy our complimentary Cream Tea to which the Scones were...

I would highly recommend this hotel. I booked a De Luxe Double and was very fortunate to be upgraded to the James 1st which is a junior suite. The staff were wonderful. Very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was lovely and cosy and an absolute delight. I loved the old beams and quirky fireplace. Everything was perfect! My only...

This hotel does not have a lift, which is not mentioned on the website (as far as I could see), neither was it mentioned when I spoke to the hotel to make my reservation. This caused me some discomfort during my visit and will mean no return visit. I had a junior "suite" - in reality, a large room with...

We arrived for a two night dinner, B&B deal which we viewed as a real bargain. The hotel is very lovely and retains a quality of times past without being dark and musty (as some others can be) The grounds were very very nice and it seems to specialise in weddings. We enjoyed our two days and Elder (sp?) the...

One of the Best Afternoon Teas I have had. Great selection of sandwiches. The best warm scones I have ever tasted and I'm not a scone person.( I'm very fussy) Fresh Mint Tea not a Teabag. Was not rushed, staff were lovely.lovely Christmas Decorations.

Great setting for this mini stately home, very comfortable and friendly feel but very tired decor and room, the hotel even of its age is very dated and needs fleshing up, comfortable rooms but wall paper, paintwork stained and chipped, good staff service and great breakfast.

The weather was gorgeous which was a bonus. The staff were friendly and accommodating, our rooms were...

My family took my mum for mothers day afternoon tea. We absolutely should have heard alarm bells when it was possible a few days before. My mum is celiac and Taplow house was one of the few places we could find that offered afternoon tea that was still available. We paid in advance for 5 of us and arrived promptly...
