Stayed here with AMC Boston Chapter hikers over the weekend. Food: Great great great food. Chef Tom is the best. After a great hike everyday I always wish I would have lost a pound or two - but am sure even though I did some long hikes this time, I still would have gained weight - thanks to amazing food....

We had a wonderful experience at the AMC lodge. The staff were wonderful and the food was outstanding. Accommodations were clean and there was great access to amazing trails and waterfalls. So wonderful!

The staff are warm, friendly, accommodating, and extremely competent. The lodge is a uniquely New England space with "ancient" wood beams for a ceiling and rocking chairs in front of the roaring fire. Expect hearty, delicious meals to fuel you for a day spent outside. Most rooms have bunks which are are adequate (upper bunks on the third floor have...

I have stayed here with AMC, for a long weekend 01/22-24. Location is great, trails are right out the door. Lodge staff are exceptionally good at what they do and very helpful. We had two breakfasts and dinner with them and our group had various dietary restrictions and allergies. They handled it all with great attention to detail. They cooked...

I have spent several weekends at Cardigan Lodge over the last few years, in both spring and winter. Every time, it is fantastic. There are a few private rooms, but otherwise you have a bunk in a small shared room (4 to 5 bunks per room). There is not a lot of space in the room, but thats not what...

Over the years, we have enjoyed many stays at AMC’s Cardigan Lodge, but hadn’t been recently. An August couple-of-nights stay in the private room with queen bed and private bath was as good as ever (actually better in some ways). This room isn’t large, but is furnished with nightstands with good reading lamps on each side of the bed and...

This lodge is a great place to stay for a weekend. The food is great and the croo is friendly and knowledgable. Rooms on the 3rd floor are a little warm with little ventilation in the summer - though they did have a fan in the room.

When planning our daughter's wedding, we were immediately attracted to Cardigan Lodge, not only did she and her fiance frequent the area hiking and skiing at Mt. Cardigan, but with so many out of town guests, we were attracted to the idea that lodging and food for all those guests would be included from Friday evening until Sunday morning. And...

My husband and I write books together, and we go on work retreats here once or twice a year. It's idyllic. Comfy lounge with internet access for writing. Abundant food. When we take breaks, there's a sweet little pond to swim in right on the property, and several beautiful woods walks that start right from the lodge. (I've hip problems...

This is our third summer at Cardigan lodge. We love this family friendly retreat. All meals are included, and guided activities are available every day. Perfect for outdoor loving families with children of all ages. Our only complaint is that the coffee tastes like water. Tell them to use 2 packets instead of 1 and they will oblige.
