We stayed 8 nights at the Coral Garden. It is titled as an inn but actually is an upstairs/downstairs home. It is totally off the grid except for having wi-fi which came in very handy for communicating with the dive shop, XTC Dive Center, in Xcalak. Electricity comes from solar panels on the roof with a 110 inverter for running... More

This is our second trip to Xcalak, and first time at the Coral Garden Inn...we will be back! The house/ location/ beach was such a perfect set-up and location for our family (ages from 9 months to 70). We rented both units and everyone had plenty of space/privacy. For a group who likes to get somewhere and "just chill", the... More

This was an experience of a lifetime and easily the best trip of our life (we travel often). We spent two weeks at Coral Garden with two young children (18 months and 4) and had a blast. Accommodations were clean, the beach was perfect, the water was amazing, and the snorkeling rivals the best spots in the world (and you... More

We wanted to have a quiet place far from tourism, and this house was just perfect. The sea is like a pool, full of fun animals for small kids, and the beach is just perfect for relaxing. The lady with the quesadillas does not pass by every 10 minutes, neither do you get offered necklaces every hour, but the food... More

A dream come true. It was one of my best vacations ever. A large 2 bedroom Villa on the Caribbean Sea on a charming remote private beach road. The owners, Ron and Roberta were so helpful and stayed in touch with me throughout my stay. The caretakers were great. The Villa was spotless and the peace and quiet of this... More

If you are looking for constant entertainment, perfect beaches and the typical artificial resort environment, this is not the place for you. We loved the isolation, and the amenities in Ron and Roberta's lovely home--everything you could ask for, especially as compared to how the majority of the locals live (and yet they seem happy). The instructions in terms of... More

April 2015 We wanted to experience the quiet, beauty and remote area of southern Mexico and this property was perfect. The accommodations were the true flavor of what Mexico should be in a remote destination. Roberta, the owner, was so helpful in every way. . . . .answering my numerous questions. The caretakers are kind and helpful during your stay.... More

We were looking forward to our stay at the Inn and it was exactly as we had hoped and imagined. The caretaker helped us to settle in and we were very pleased with the suite and the view, from the roof and our 2nd floor suite. My partner enjoyed most mornings with an early walk along the flats practicing his... More

We spent 12 days at Coral Garden Inn. Beds comfy, big beautiful palm trees line the beach, kayaks on the beach, the kitchen worked great, and the caretakers and their children were wonderful. Snorkeling right off our beach and great food in Xcalak. Ron and Roberta created a warm oasis in a wild place, and though it isn't luxury-it is... More

We spent four nights with our two children (6, 9). We had the pleasure of being their while the owners, Roberta and Ron, were there too. I can't tell you how grateful I was for that! I was more than a little frazzled from a long road trip from Tulum with the littles. Roberta assured me I would settle in... More
