I was here last year - May 2014. Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, vibrant and the I loved laying in the hammocks in the backyard. I will definitely be going back here when I get another chance to visit Valladolid. :)

I stayed in a private room, very colourful and clean. Beautiful garden and outdoor kitchen where breakfast is served. Breakfast is really nice! Showers are clean. Internet wasn't that good. Had to stay near the reception area to get wifi. Lots of mosquitos in the garden. Quite near the city centre. Rent a bike and visit the cenotes! Very easy...

This is one of my favourite hostels I have ever stayed at. From the moment I arrived I felt welcome and relaxed. The staff were lovely and helpful, the rooms clean and cheerful and the outdoor area just a wonderful havern and nice place to cook and chat with others. The breakfast was great. There are loads of things to...

I've stayed at La Candelaria twice, and both of my visits have been wonderful. The staff is very helpful. I messed up my reservation and booked a day before I arrived, though they didn't charge me for it. They are very helpful when it comes to finding food and activities. The facilities are very nice. La Candelaria is big enough...

Valladolid is a wonderful little town, compact and walkable, friendly locals, delicious food. This hostel once won a contest for best hostel in Mexico one year and I see why. The included breakfast is fantastic: good coffee, fresh bread every morning, 2 types of fresh fruit that changes daily, eggs made to order! The bread reminds me of fresh baguette,...

Me and my partner stayed at this hostel for one night as a stop over for chichen itza. We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom and it was clean and nicely decorated. Staff were helpful and gave us a map of the town and advised us about getting to chichen itza. Unfortunately despite all this we had a...

Hostel Candelaria is a beautiful, colorful, quaint, well run hostel on the corner of a quiet little square, housed in a colonial style building. It's very picturesque and right in front of Parque de La Candelaria and a nice little cafe; La Casa del Cafe, as well as a Paleteria Y Neveria (Popsicle & ice cream) shop. There are two...

Hostel was brilliant. Epic breakfasts cooked to order! The staff were very friendly and helped us with recommendations for places to eat and how to get to Chichen Itza. We stayed in a private room and it was great - comfy bed and had an overhead fan to help with the heat. We didn't use the kitchen to cook but...

I stayed at this hostel as a first time solo female traveler. It was amazing! The building is colonial and adorable and everything is painted in bright colours. The facilities are great. There is a TV room with couches and outlets, an indoor and outdoor kitchen for cooking and storing food in the fridge, an outdoor seating area with tables...
