I spent a week here for our annual office global meeting. I could not have asked for a more perfect location. It's a short walk up the beach to town, which offered plenty to do when not working and a quick drive to the Tulum Mayan ruins. I would also strongly suggest visiting the Tulum Gran Cenote. Iv'e never seen...

We love this place. This is our 4th stay here. We wanted quiet and laid back. Lots of rest and relaxation. Beautiful beach, great snorkeling, wonderful people taking care of us. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Las Villas is a lovely place with a beatifull beach and very friendly staff ideal for holydays with family and children. Accomodation is great with plenty of space and a terrace to relax and view the ocean waters. You can walk to town along the beach in 20-30 minutes with children or use the kayaks or the pool or walk...

Las Villas Akumal was just our speed: a relaxed, non-resort getaway, with central access to some of the best the Riviera Maya has to share. We stayed in a junior suite that faced the ocean on the bottom floor, though you couldn't actually see the water through the vegetation. It was not a problem. The junior suite had a full...

Forget the "all-inclusive" resorts. This is a low-key, beautifully maintained place, on a lovely beach, with wonderful staff. We have been coming here for five years now and would not consider anywhere else. Away from the bustle of the resorts, it is nevertheless close to the town - five minutes drive or a 15-20 minute walk along the beach.

This is a superb place to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of this exquisite part of Mexico. The staff are friendly and eager to please, the accommodations are well equipped and maintained, the food is consistently fresh and refreshingly simple, and the location and relative isolation are simply heavenly. With ease of access to groceries, bars and simple restaurants,...

We have been traveling to Mexico for 13 years now. We bought a timeshare at the Moon Palace but have not used it the past 6 or 7 years. It was too crowded and too noisey. We moved our location further down the coast. For the past 3 years we stayed here...right on the beach ..in a one or two...

15 minute walk to town. Good location and family setting. Relaxing and quiet. Basic two bedroom Villa. For family living beyond beyond a week we wished we had a washing machine/dryer and much better kitchen equipped with more than one knife. Service was friendly, but inconsistent. Liz is great. Be prepared for dinner if you arrive late. Restaurants in Akumal...

Villas Akumal are beautifully designed, well maintained and in one of the finest locations inthe Rivera Maya. Having a swimming pool and the beach right next to your room is a real plus with small children. Highly recommended!

This is our 3rd visit to Villas Akumal and it's just as idyllic as the first time. It is a small, out of the way time-share apartment complex that's a bit pricey, but if R&R is what you seek, this is the place! It's about an hour's drive south of Cancun. The Villas are completely furnished apartments, well-equipped for those...
