We loved the ambiance of this hotel. Beds were comfortable and location excellent. The front desk was understanding when we had to cut short our visit and arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport. My favorite part was the breakfast - beautifully served and ample enough to last till dinner, though the Happy Hour margaritas also rocked!...

When traveling down to Ajijic to determine if we really wanted to live here, we stayed at La Nueva Posada for 15 days. Rooms were clean and HUGE. Staff was very friendly and always helpful. Meals were tasty and atmosphere was romantic. Now that we live here, we eat there regularly in their garden. Did I say I love this...

Nicely decorated, older colonial style hotel simple rooms, excellent restaurant for breakfast. Great view and lovely garden Staff very attentive and nice. No A/C so if you're going when it is hot ask for a room NOT on the sunny side - fan alone with open windows made it uncomfortable but it was 90+ F when I was there.

I had my wedding here in April of 2014 and I can't say enough about the owner, staff, and venue's beauty. First off, I live in Detroit and planning a wedding in another country is a great challenge but the owner worked with me and was accommodating. He has perfect packages for any size and style wedding (or other occasion)....

For our week's stay in Ajijic, we were fortunate to choose La Nueva Posada. We enjoyed the true Mexican charm of the hotel, the hearty breakfasts (included in the room price) and the friendly staff. We found our room clean, up to date and a great value. Having met Michael Eager, one of the owners, I'm confident any issue a...

This is our second visit to this hotel, and like the first, very enjoyable, with a large comfortable and quiet room and excellent meals. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the prices very reasonable. We have already booked for a longer stay in 2015. M & RC, Toronto

There is a difference between charming and just plain old and run down. Our room was spacious, I'll give you that, but we overlooked the white kitchen roof. It was hot and stuffy, and greasy burnt oil wafted into the room all day. We HAD to use the fan which squeaked and cranked all night long. The lobby traffic echoed...

Is it the enchanting Mexican Colonial architecture? Is it the wonderfully helpful and friendly staff? Is it the Eager family who have been welcoming guests for decades and know each of them by name? Is it the spectacular views of lake and mountain? is it the delicious breakfast in the cheery dining room or a margarita and dinner later in...

No need to look any further for First Class lodging in Ajijic. The Posada interior is beautifully restored, rooms are spacious and well furnished, several with balconies overlooking the lake. The onsite restaurant is excellent providing both indoor seating comfort and shaded outdoor seating in a well treed spacious lakeside setting. Front desk and restaurant staff are courteous, efficient and...
