First, Sutton is a modest size French like village for those that bike, tour vineyards, hike, canoe, golf, and shop .....but most everyone speaks English. The owners of the chalet brought charm, hospitality, service and grommet food to a new level..... similiar to our holiday in Provonce last year. Patricia learned hospitality from a strict hospitality school in France and...

We did not stay in the inn but the restaurant, only open two years, was excellent.

This is our second time eating at Auberge des Appalaches, and it was fabulous. On the rating system at Trip Advisor, its in the Hotel category because it is also a hotel, but it should be acknowledged as a great restaurant as well. We had a very reasonably priced bottle of wine, creative starters, including asparagus with poached egg, and...

Wonderful environment - John and Patricia are excellent hosts. The food, of course, was tremendous. Thankyou. My daughter and I had a very memorable time.

Loved my night away from the bustle. There is so much to do out and about like snowshoing , skiing, hiking and indoors- fine cuisine, fireplace to cuddle up to. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality without needing to feeling the guilt of overspending. VERY reasonable priced for the quality and little touches experienced.

We spent 3 night here in late January... skied 2 1/2 days at Mt Sutton. John and Patricia are really warm, friendly people and their pride in the Auberge is evident. We had 3 superb dinners and breakfasts. John specializes in "country, comfort" food I would say... absolutely delicious. Our queen room was VERY small but very clean and the...

We were at Auberge des Appalaches the first weekend in September. We were very lucky and the weather was perfect. John and Patricia are amazing hosts. The meals were perfect -- and quite healthy. John is a chef worth some stars. The rooms are simple, but comfortable, but who wants to stay there for more than a peaceful night's sleep....

Delivered more than we anticipated. The genuine friendly greeting and service were only surpassed by the surprising high quality of the evening supper. We were 6 in our party with international hospitality experience and all would return for the food and friendly low key most affordable atmosphere. The owners are highly competent, hands on, well travelled themselves and clearly suitable...

We stayed at the Auberge with some friends and young children for a spring skiing weekend. While the rooms were small, the cozy common areas more than made up for that. We enjoyed our martinis and beer in the sun room on leather couches complete with books, magazines, games, pillows and cozy blankets. The food was unbelievable and delicious enough...
