This is an old hotel that was built for sailors who got stuck when the port froze. It has been refurbished and turned into a great B&B by the owner Richard who is very hospitable and helpful. Our rooms were on the third floor and Richard helped us carry our luggage up. The rooms were very comfortable, actually suites with...

A lovely, quiet location in a picturesque village. Proprietor was hard-working, friendly, and helpful. Room was clean, quiet, and comfy; and the bathroom was uniquely decorated and really nice. The old building has been well-restored and it is being carefully maintained. It was lovely to see a heritage building so well cared for. Breakfast offered cereal, toast, muffins, fruit, yogurt,...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. I mentioned to the owner "you don't always get what you want, but you get what you need". I was trying to find a hotel in Charlottetown, just because that city was mid-point to the island. Unbeknownst to me, there was a huge Seafood Festival during the time that I wanted...

The accommodation was excellent, cleaned and the room was a nice size. The breakfast was excellent. The Hotel is located in the center of the village near the local Playhouse. You could walk everywhere from the hotel. It fit well with the beauty of this small seaside community. The locals are nice and the owner of the hotel is very...

We stayed 3 nights in the family suite with our children. It was ideal as the children had separate single beds and there was a small "living room" where our son read while his younger sister fell asleep. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff accommodating of daughter's allergies. The rooms were spotless and well decorated with a tasteful mix...

Breakfast alone sold us on this place- you will travel miles before you get a better meal than his "Maple Baked Egg"....sit in the oriental room and read and you will sense the history...right down the road is the Landmark Cafe for a meal...great shops nearby...room 1 was large and comfortable ...just loved it from start to finish..

I booked this bed-and-breakfast as soon as I crossed over the Confederation bridge into PEI from the tourist information center. We did a lot of touring that day and did not arrive until 10:30 PM at the Oriental Hotel. I called ahead of time to let Richard know we were going to be late, he said no problem and he...

The hotel was a pleasant surprise. I thought it might be one of the sketchier rooms I had booked, but it was great. The suites are all very nice, with their own bathrooms, TV & decent wifi. The breakfast was very good and the hosts are warm & welcoming. Victoria has a number of good restaurants. Overall, a very pleasant...

The Orient was a great place to stay in the quiet, laid back and super friendly Victoria-by-the-Sea. Our host was so generous and has a good knowledge of the local community and area. A comfy lounge and a really safe vibe.
