love the place hated the service
it was all fun til the owners child ran into the dining room and had a hissy fit he made everyone feel uncomfortable plus the cook was always yelling from the kitchen but the sights of p e i are nice and the rooms are awesom

Quaint, beautiful and overlooking the Bay
My daughter and I wanted to stay in a historic B&B on the eastern coast of PEI. The Matthew House Inn was like staying in a lovely historic museum that overlooked the bay. Our third floor rooms were like stepping back into quieter times. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The owners were very pleasant and friendly. As we pulled into the curving drive, it was pleasant to see the couple sitting in the Adirondack chairs enjoying the beauty of the bay. The lovely touches of Italian architecture blended with the 19th century Victorian decorations in a comfortable manner.

The breakfast was delicious and filling for us and served at a time of our request. It was very pleasant to stay at the Matthew House Inn. The owners were friendly, helpful and courteous. It was a high point of our vacation to stay here and we would highly recommend it to others. We would certainly stay there again.
