Comfy room, great owner and good location make this an affordable choice. It's an older property with some nice views of the townscape just off of the main road through town...good price-point for an all-around satisfying experience.

We were told the house is nearly a century old, and it has been lovingly maintained and restored. We had a view of the town and river from our room. There are beautiful antiques and replicas in each room--much attention to detail to maintain the turn-of-the-century feel. It's a short walk into town. The house sits on Route 4, which... More

This is an old house and beautifully maintained premises - the gardens are stunning. Very handy for the main town and the bedroom is definitely old world charm as opposed to new build box type motel. Kitchen is available (I didn't try it) and the lounge / porch is ideal for relaxing at night. Well worth the money and for... More

We rented a room from Ms Betty at Awakenings, I've never been to a B&B, so I wasnt sure I would feel comfy, boy was I wrong. From the time we walked in, I felt so welcomed and at ease. We had a spacious room, with a nice size private bathroom. Downstairs, the kitchen had anything and everything you would... More

A lovely find. Montague itself is the prettiest place we saw in PEI being in a river valley. The inn is on the hill with a view down into the town. We had the Murdock Room with this great view and nicely furnished with antiques. The hostess is very cheery and friendly and you have access to a kitchen and... More

The inn owner Betty, made sure that we knew we had full access to anything that we needed in the house. Although we did not see much of her that wasn't necessary. There was a note on the door that let us know we had our pick of each room and we chose the Murdoch suite. A room with a... More

Betty went above and beyond in terms of customer service and did everything she could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I will definitely return to the Awakenings Inn. The Inn is centrally located in the town of Montague. And has plenty of room for parking, I would definitely recommend the Hardy Room, as it's view looks on... More

We booked this thru booking.com after reading pretty decent reviews. When we went to check in we were not impressed with the outside nor the inside. Musty smell, uneven floors, very dated, messy and nothing appealing at all. Thankfully the booking.com agent cancelled the booking with no penalty. We don't know how this property could have the good reviews it... More

Thank you for a wonderful stay Our stay in Montague was great -the car show, the festival and concerts and, the best seat in the house for watching fireworks! The 98 year old Inn is nicely furnished and Betty welcomed us to use the kitchen for breakfast rather than going out. We hope to be back again someday

This is a great value, if you want to be close to Montague and the East end of the Island. I stayed at Awakenings August of 2014. The room I stayed in appeared to have a brand new bathroom or at least not more than a couple of years old. I had a window air conditioner, which worked very well.... More
