I’m not hard to please. I like clean rooms, nice amenities and good customer service. This HI lacks on all. We checked in for a five day stay by a harried dad comforting a toddler in his arms. We came home yesterday to the room not being supplied with coffee/towels toilet paper and thought it was a one off. Met the housekeeping staff at 420 pm In The hall and got said items. Today we came back to our room after a long day to find no housekeeping again. Down to the desk I go, told due to COVID, housekeeping only available by REQUEST! No fresh towels. No garbage emptied. No toilet paper. No coffee… I’m on the app… no mention of said rules on it, no mention by the dad at checkin and no mention on my email. Fine, I request for tomorrow, ask for towels and coffee. Was delivered without facecloths, have to ask housekeeping in the morning and we go to bed. 11:40pm room phone rings and front desk is asking if they gave me keys when they delivered towels. So now it’s 11:36 pm, I’m tired and cranky and making this review while all details are fresh. Will not book here again and sorry I’m here for another night.…
Here's a list of problems, oddities, and other findings - in no particular order - no stationery in room; also no Bible which I found unusual; perhaps it's the new way of doing things - no instructions on what to put in recycle box - when we first used the bed we found some facial tissues had been left in the bedding - pillow cases were labelled "firm" and "soft" but the description seemed to have no correlation with the actual pillow - no night light in room - returned from a day out to find that housekeeping had not been to clean the room - called front desk and was told that the cleaners had gone for the day and nothing could be done - this is what they consider service???? - reading in bed was difficult due to poor lighting - no footrests or cushions provided for the sofa - no instructions provided for how to retrieve voice mail on room phone - in bathroom - no bar of bath soap provided; no vanity mirror; sink had a slow drain causing water buildup - no cartons of white or chocolate milk was available at included breakfast - front desk didn't mention that pool was closed - front desk said there was an ice machine on our floor - there wasn't…
Currently staying here and happy to check out tomorrow. Room- beds are comfy but not made properly at check in. I had to put the duvet into the cover for both beds when we checked in. Odd that the room wasn’t made property but no biggie. The carpet where it meets the kitchenette tiles has sharp staples sticking out that hurt when stepped on (we put a towel on the ground for extra cushion) Cleanliness- the utensils have the previous guests food on them (yuck!) room was not cleaned (I was asked on our last day if we want service on our 3rd day but I was in the middle of a zoom meeting and figured what’s the point). I’ve asked a couple times for garbage with dirty diaper in it to be pick up but it would sit outside our door overnight. People would leave their garbage bags by the elevator bin. I had to ask for towels a couple times but eventually got them. Elevator just look unclean. Fingerprints smudged everywhere and with covid you’d think those would be wiped. Pool- was disappointed at Check in to learn the pool was under maintenance but was lead to believe it would open during our stay. It didn’t! My kids were devastated. I would have booked the Hilton next door had I known (I’m an IHG member so wanted my points but for a functional pool would have forgone the points). After staying 3 nights pool is still closed! Breakfast is okay….the gentleman in the kitchen is super nice and helpful. It wasn’t a horrible stay but definitely disappointing. Next time I’ll be staying at the Hilton next door.…
The hotel it’s not very kid friendly, it’s more for executives that are traveling. The cleaning of the rooms and communal area needs to be improved especially in this times. Our room has crumbs of food on the ac and a piece of broken glass in the kitchen sink., they only clean the room on your 3rd day if you don’t ask for the service ahead. They give free breakfast which it’s ok, basic but fill you up (pancakes, eggs, bread, bacon, oatmeal, fruits and yogurt) the personal it’s very friendly and would make sure you’ll feel welcomed.
Stayed in November. First room assigned (223) the shower nozzle came loose and made it impossible to regulate or shut off the flow of water. When contacting the front desk were told that its a really easy fix, just use an allan key. Since I'm not an IKEA employee I'm not in possession of such a tool and frankly why should I perform their janitorial maintenance? Requested a new room and were assigned 221. Shower worked but nozzle loose as well. Exiting through hotel main floor side door, which is also an Emergency Exit, brings one to the drop of doom. Six inch drop from door! For safety reasons should at the very least have a "watch your step" sign. Which city inspector signed off on that??? Hotel was clean which one would expect during Covid. Location good. To the hotel Manager: please address problems. Thank You.…
Horrible customer service, incredibly unimpressed by the lack of professionalism by the general manager. We faced an issue where we were charged for an extra room that was double booked by the staff. The general manager told us that it was error on our part and not their own, even though they did not search for the original reservation upon booking a second night stay at the hotel. They instead created two reservations under the same name. Upon checkin staff did not notify us that there were 2 reservations made in the same name. We had only become aware of this issue when our credit card was charged. The hotel did not issue any receipts which would have also notified us of this issue much earlier. After many attempts to resolve this issue, both the corporate office and Milton holiday inn express told us they would be in contact to follow up with the issue but never did. I have never experienced such disrespect directed at the consumer. I was told by the general manger after apologizing for being frustrated with the issue that, “I am just mad because I am not getting my way”. There’s many hotels in the area, I would choose any of them over the Holiday Inn Express in Milton. Our issue has still not been resolved.…
Our friends blocked off rooms for the wedding party and we called ahead to put our credit card down and they stated there were NO bookings under that block or our name. We proceeded with booking and a month later we were double charged! Terrible service how did they not see THEY double booked us and further when we checked in did they not see two bookings and think to say- “which booking are you checking in for?” They blamed it on us when clearly we cannot see the computer and trusted when we called there was only one booking! This is an example of terrible service and you should take your money elsewhere.
I had stayed here before and only rated it a 4 star. It is not over a 5 star. It seems the entire hotel has been redone and it looks amazing. Our room was perfect - shower was fancy, great shampoo and condition products. The free breakfast includes eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, pancakes, fruit, coffee, tea, yogurt, and muffins.
My wife and I stayed for only one night. We LOVED the pillows and mattress!! The room was spacious and clean, along with the bathroom. And as I mentioned in the title, they had J.R. Watkins body wash, shampoo and conditioner! I'm not sure about you, but all, and I mean all the hotels I've been to usually have cheap soap that drys out your skin. now with that said we have soft water at home, but I'm not kidding when I say this, it felt like this hotel had soft water, not sure if it was because of the soap.....? This was a nice surprise! We have stayed in the hotel that backs onto the back parking lot twice, and in my experience this hotel was nicer and cleaner. The only thing we didn't like was how loud heater/air conditioner, but I've never stayed in a hotel with quiet heater/air conditioners.…
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Although the staff was caring and attentive the management lacked in basic customer care. We came in at 3pm only to be told the room was not ready Snd to give them 29 minutes. We gave them an hour.... when we first walked in we were greeted by a left behind sock, and food splats on the wall . The bathroom was filthy with snot on the shower, there was also toilet paper stuck to the walls. We complained the entire weekend being told the manager would handle it. Two days later.... The manager was “ gracious” enough to give us a $37 dollar discount for our 3 day stay! We told her we would take to social media as well as complain to the higher ups ... only to be shrugged off with a that’s all I can do attitude! The hallways had falling blinds and heat elements completely yanked from the walls, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!…
