The Grafton Village Inn has a number of properties associated with it. We stayed in a house and had the main floor. Spacious, well appointed, extremely comfortable bed, huge bathroom and tub. Hand-held shower attachment but no shower curtains and didn't want to get water on the beautiful wood floors. Kitchen had all amenities including fridge, stove, coffee maker. No... More

My husband and i booked this last minute. Really lovely little inn. Although you need to go to the main house first and the lodging is next door over. Very clean and pleasant stay. We actually ended up doing a dinner and show which was fun. Something we had not done before. Breakfast was included the next morning. Friendly staff.

We were booked in here for 4 nights, On a positive note the room was extremely comfortable and slept well, clean and beautifully decorated. However, no-one there to greet us, key left in a box, next morning the cafe was not open to provide us with a complimentary breakfast. Also not told no-one would be servicing the rooms, ie. emptying bins,... More

We are re-assessing the restaurant at the Grafton Village Inn. After excellent weekend brunches and service over many years, I wrote an encouraging review last year after a June 2014 visit. Recently, in July of this year, we returned with some out-of-town guests, only to be very disappointed. We all noticed a strong smell of gas on entering the building,... More

The response from the hotel staff member, Sandra Walls, goes into great detail about all the charms of the hotel -- a/c, TV, lamps -- that was not the gist of the complaint. Within ten minutes of arriving the woman staff member became angry at a simple request. After the manager helped us out there was no communication for two... More

On my recommendation, an elderly pair of ladies checked in to The Grafton Village Inn over Labour Day weekend. They were not informed when they booked that the restaurant would be closed and that there would be no hotel service. No clean towels, no beds made, no ice! This during a heatwave. These two women had to fend for themselves,... More

Our Response: I cannot comment on what questions were asked and what information was provided during the booking of this accommodation, as I was not with Grafton Village Inn, at that time. However, I can comment that both myself and the Inn's Manager were present when these ladies arrived by taxi to check into their Twin Room at the Inn.... More

We rented the Pumpkin Cottage for a family get-together (six adults, one new-born) and got far more than we ever imagined - the cottage is full of period charm but is also very large and beautifully appointed. The service at the main inn was friendly. We have traveled the world and this is the sort of place you expect in... More

My husband and I were looking for a quiet weekend get-away out of the city that wasn't too far and this was perfect. The drive was effortless, we left Toronto at about 9am on a Saturday and arrived in an hour and a half. The rooms were quite modern with the most comfortable pillows and duvet! There's nothing better than... More

My husband and I stopped here for lunch yesterday and were surprised to be disappointed. In the past everything had been delicious but not so yesterday. My husband said his caramalized onion galette was bland, my wild mushroom one was okay. Thank goodness the fire roasted tomato soup was include as it was delicious with wonderful complex flavours. Service was... More

Our room was fresh, tastefully decorated and so airy with the high ceilings and beautiful trim. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great and the Keurig in the hallway was convenient. The floor to ceiling curtains in the room gave an elegant touch and the dimmable reading lamps mounted over the sides of the bed were perfect. We... More
