So this time we decided to try a getaway in august as this worked with our schedules . Although a bit cooler the upside was the mosquito brigade was mostly non-existent, allowing evenings out side by their fire and morning tennis hits to be far more comfortable. The food again was nothing short of superb with the comfortable relaxed atmosphere...

We spent labour day weekend here at Sir Sams Inn. We have been here a few times over the years. It was pleasure coming back & just sit back, relax, enjoy the view of the lake & then be pampered by the wonderful staff & delicious food.

My husband and I first stayed at this inn over 20 years ago and since we have now moved to the area, we enjoy dining at the inn for our special evening out. Last night was one of those evenings. Our meals were as always beautifully and uniquely prepared and presented. I ordered the beet/walnut/goat cheese salad and the fish...

This is a good place to relax. It has the lake/woods/civilized-rustic atmosphere allowing for plenty of down-time. The main lodge has a wonderful ambiance and the dining is excellent. While I do recommend Sir Sam’s and will likely return, there was a down side. If you are elderly (like me) or mobility-challenged, be aware there is no elevator to the...

We just came back from Sir Sam's Inn where we spent 3 nights. The food is outstanding. The rooms are in dire need of repair. There was a cheap, un grounded extension cord running across the front of the fireplace to the mini fridge. This was of particular concern due to a mouse trap in the fireplace. One nibble on...

Just what we were looking for as a three day getaway. Although areas of Sir Sam's are showing wear, the size of the resort really appealed to us as it still felt old school as a summer getaway. We enjoyed one of the ground level, end Northwoods rooms which was especially nice as it allows you to walk out directly...

Visited Sir Sam's as part of a three day motorcycle tour through the Ontario Highlands and if you're looking for upscale accommodations that won't turn up their noses when you clomp in with riding gear, this is the place. The new owner, Ryan rides himself so he knows what motorcyclists want after a long day in the saddle. The newly...

We visited here last fall with family. We stayed in a wonderful cabin over looking the lake with all the amenities one would want. The water spa is wonderful. We enjoyed the wine and cheese in the evenings. The meals are superb. Staff A+

As first time visitors to Sir Sam's Inn, my husband and I were blown away with the level of detail and service provided during our brief two night stay. Although we had booked the Eastwood Cottage before arriving, Nicole at the front desk went above and beyond allowing us to see two other available room choices and allowing us to...

First time for us at Sir Sam's and we really enjoyed it. The food was excellent. Great choices for breakfast, and lunch and supper had a nice variety of meats and you could even order ahead for vegetarian meals. All the staff were great and happy to help you with what was needed. The rooms were fine, it had a...
