Capeway Motel is conveniently located on Rt 19 right after entering the causeway to Cape Breton. We did not meet the manager/owner throughout our stay but there is a phone on premise to contact someone if necessary. Our room was super clean. The bathroom and bedding actually smelled good! It was so well equipped we could prepare a simple meal...

When I stayed at the motel in August 2015, the place was a bit chaotic as they were in the middle of upgrading the property and hampered by construction delays. That being said, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the owner went above and beyond to provide for me. Since I had arrived at the end...

Very clean, and very accommodating. Very comfortable beds. Rooms are cleaned every day with new towels, and beds made. The staff is very friendly, and available at any time to help with your needs. I would recommend this place to any person looking for a good night sleep. Very quiet location.

This is a review for the motel not the B&B. Busy season in Cape Breton and we called the night before to see if there was vacancy. One room left (#2) of five in the motel apparently. Very small room with kitchenette. Clean but not quite pulled together. Whole place seemed under construction and a bit dilapidated. Only seemed to...

This is a small motel just off the rotary as you enter CB Island. The owners also operate a B&B. The rooms are small but they cram a lot into them. We had #5 and it had a little kitchenette, small table, bed, TV and wardrobe. The room was clean, albeit a little musty smelling. This is a rural area...

This is a review for the Capeway Motel, located at 84, Hwy 19 (not the B&B, which is further up the road). The Capeway is an old-style roadside motel consisting of efficiency units (road was busy/noisy with truck traffic early in the morning). Well-equipped with kitchenette area, small table for 2, TV, mini-fridge, 2-burner stove (no oven), plates, utensils, Queen...

We liked everything about this B&B: very large room, with a nice bathroom, and a deck with a view on the Canso Strait By the way, this B&B is located in Troy, rather than in Port Hastings. Pat, the lady who owns owns a B&B was very nice, and she prepared a generous breakfast for us, it would be impossible...

When we arrived there, no one was manning the office, but a cordless phone was in the postbox with a number to call. The owner picked up, asked us to go to Room #5 and check it out before we decided if we wanted to stay there, which I found very considerate. We said we would take it, and she...

Pat, the lady who owns this Motel also owns a B&B. She is very reasonably priced and cooks a nice breakfast. Oh, by the way, she is a friendly and kind person. We stayed her with our 3 friends from England. The young one (just 2) was fuzzin' in the morning and Pat went out of her way to enable...

Very clean, We took the units in her home. Nice view and surroundings. Owner was very accommodating and served breakfasts in two rooms because of toddler. Definitely a good place to stop before exploring Cape Breton.
