We go back every year (twice last year!) and enjoy our stay every time! The owners are fantastic, the cottages are clean, have all the necessary amenities, are comfortable, and you can’t beat the price!
These are very clean rustic cottages with all the amenities that you will need. It is a very peaceful location next to a river. It is just minutes to downtown and an easy place to explore the area from. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. I have stayed here with family and also on my own and have enjoyed it all. I will certainly be back.
I loved my stay at Riverview Cottages. The cottages were clean, well maintained, and stocked with all the amenities needed to enjoy your stay. The location was in a peaceful setting, but close enough to explore other sites in Parrsboro and surrounding area. There were a couple of different fire pits to lounge at in the evening, and some outdoor activities to pass the time. The owners were very thoughtful - placing table cloths on the picnic table for our gathering! They also seem to have put thought into the different areas that people use from comfortable chairs on the porches of cottages, fire wood for the wood stoves, and even the different fire pit areas available. I am looking forward to visiting again!
Booked accommodation for a team retreat for 12 people. Everyone raved at the cozy cottage they were assigned, each one different with different styles, art, and all the comforts of home. The cottages were a perfect place to relax with absolutely everything you need including a great space to sit outdoors with a fire and soak in the stars. The only shortcoming was that our stay wasn't nearly long enough - keen to return and see even more of the attractions (hikes, antiquing, restaurants, theatre) that are minutes away from the cottages - a great getaway.
My father, brother, and I just had an amazing weekend in two of these beautiful, rustic, cottages. The physical environment alone is enough to transport travellers to a refreshing vacation that is both relaxed and sufficiently equipped for comfort. The number of cottages (some spacious and some small with a redeemingly cuteness) helps to ensure availability and provides a village-like walkabout. You can chose to use the outdoor communal furniture and fire pit to socialize with neighbouring travellers while the young'ns use the playground, or you can borrow a portable bbq and hang out on your patio with a good book. Beyond it's physical beauty, the new owners Wendy and Jay, and their staff, fill this space with an accommodating and welcoming energy. I felt immediately welcome and continued to be surprised by their generous dedication to making sure my family had the most comfortable stay possible. Riverview cottages is close to many amenities and is a 15 minute walk to "downtown Parrsboro". I have stayed in these cottages on many occasions and it is a sure good time. Even though the river (which is actually an aboiteau) now runs low, this place is rushing with welcoming feelings and relaxing vibes.…
Nice little retreat with clean and comfortable rustic cottages. The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. Parrsboro is a quaint little town with live theatre, local brew pub and friendly people. Enjoyed our stay!
I spent four very peaceful nights at these very well maintained and clean cottages. No distractions, quiet and retro. Granted in today's busy connected world some want TV and internet. There is WiFi to stay connected in need be. Close to Parrsboro and many tourist sites. The owners and their extended family very pleasant and welcoming. I would and will return in the future.
Was really pleasantly surprised with these cottages. We booked them on a whim, when the weather was poor for camping. Given the low price ($92 with tax for two beds; cabin #10), even in high tourist season, we didn't really know what to expect. Was very pleasantly met by the owner, and was happy to see little extras like free bug spray, coffee available ($1.50), and even homemade jam for sale. The cabins themselves are clean and rustic (they're classic cabins, with wood walls and painted wood floors), but filled with bonus ammenities! Having spent nights in many cabins like these, I didn't expect very much. Was pleasantly surprised to see not only bed linens and towels provided, but a full bathroom with a shower, with mini hotel body wash bottles, and even a mini fridge! I've stayed at more expensive cabins along the Cabot Trail that didn't even have plumbing or electricity. The setting is also great. Theres a nice view of a small stream and downtown Parrsboro is only a km away. There's also a communal fire with free wood (although no personal fire pits). The big highlight were the owners (they took over a couple of years ago). They were pleasant interact with and extremely accommodating. I forgot a few things at home and they were able to lend things at no cost, which helped make the stay perfect. The weather cleared up the next day, but my 13 nephew who was travelling with us, who was previously very excited about tenting, suddenly didn't want to leave his nice cushy bed and "cozy" cabin (his words), so we stayed a second night. Would strongly recommend! :)…
Looking for cozy living in Parsboro, then look no further. Excellent accommodations, walking distance to town for great restaurants , shopping and entertainment. Thanks for a great Girls' weekend, Jay & Wendy
If your looking for a place to relax, disconnect from the mainstream and reconnect with each other, explore local areas, read a book by a wood stove, sit by the fire pit with your neighbours (or even just yourselves) then this is the place! You are close to the town centre and a couple beaches, but far enough to feel like your in the country. The property provides a wide open lot that is wooded along the edges, and there are some trees by a few cabins that will provide shade for fur babies if your bringing one. (Just bring your doggy disposal bags) Each cabin (built in the 20's) is rustic, quaint, cozy and minimalistic. They are little gems that offer a unique experience we don't see often. Most have small kitchenettes, I believe one cabin does have a "full" kitchen (17?) but you can at least cook a small meal in most, if not all cabins. Some could use a few updates, but the new owners assured me they are doing their best as they just took over last fall. Cabins that don't have new beds, will be getting them asap. This is the place to get away from the Tv (Wi-fi is available but you will need to be in the front area cabins to get a good signal. You can always play a gigantic game of checkers while checking your email if your in a cabin is not by the extender) and go on adventures. I love coming here The new owners are an absolute delight to rent from. I've been coming here for 5 yrs, and they will continue to receive my business.…
